It would be great to get together... it is always a delight to find local women on the group! I know Daryl is always appreciative of making new friends that share her experience as well, so maybe the three of us could get together. I know Rogene is going to be in town in the next few days as well, and we are supposed to meet, so maybe we can even make it a 4-some!

Unfortunately, in the 6 years that I have been involved in breast implant support issue, it has become quite apparent that local support groups don't work very well. Usually everyone is too sick to get out much or for whatever reason they can't, and so the groups become too much effort to keep going....there was one group that was very politically active and met at the library on Flamingo Road every few months, but I have not heard much about them in ages, and it was always a different crowd of women with a few leaders that were working very hard to get some laws passed. I will say that there is a huge number of women in Las Vegas who are sick from silicone injections, silicone gel implants and saline implants. We are spread out pretty much all over. I think the best way for women to stay connected is through the internet, because it doesn't take much effort to meet up with one another, and we can communicate whenever we need to. It seems much more effective.

You didn't mention what is going on with your son, although you mentioned problems....are they health related problems? Did you have your implants when you were pregnant with him?

I look forward to meeting you Anita. I know implant illness is scary and frustrating beyond belief, but if you have had your implants removed, you are on the right track...just keep detoxing and rebuilding your immune system. If you haven't had them out, are you making plans for that?
