Guest guest
Hello everyone: I too was a draft dodger. Instead of voluntary induction I beat the draft board and enlisted. Then the draft board had to find a replacement to meet its quota. Didn't want to be in the infantry. Then I volunteered for flight training. That too required parental consent. Then I volunteered for overseas service flying 16-hour missions. That was how I lost my hearing that I wasn't aware of. Does that make my son a SODD? I received my CI via Medicare. The VA issued me a hearing aid after I received my CI. The Phonak Savia Art right now is way ahead of the CI. The VA also provides logistic support for my CI. Guest guest
Suzanne, if you can even walk through your house without having to turn sideways to avoid piles of things in the makes, or piles of things to use in making things, you're ages ahead of me. I don't just consider it a mess; I consider it a burglar deterrent. If someone broke into the house, and I didn't hear them (being totally without hearing when the processor is off). And if Nimue, the guard dog didn't lick them to death, or knock them over in a mad dash to freedom, then the sheer amount of stuff on the floors, chairs, tables and so forth would either trip them, or make them say, " There isn't anything worth stealing in here, or it's so buried, we'd never find it. " So, messes have their place. But NO you can't have the meeting of the Women Who Don't Do Housework here. Thanks for asking. Hi , Thanks:) I like the other group too- WWDDH - can we meet at your house? Mine's a mess;) Suzanne
