Guest guest
For those who have been following the thread re the positioning of the telecoil in the Cochlear N5 processor, I've just received an email from a CI audiologist who checked with Cochlear and she wrote: " I just confirmed that the telecoil cannot be repositioned. " It appears then, that until Cochlear does some re-engineering of the N5 that anyone upgrading to it or being fitted with one as their first CI, will simply have to live with their old Freedom processor or live with less than satisfactory telecoil performance. For any who are concerned it would be helpful if you would express those concerns to your CI surgeon, his/her audiologist and Cochlear's home offices and any Cochlear reps you might have contact with.
