I was telling my boss the other day that I have to turn one CI off when I am on the phone because it is a distraction while trying to talk (something normal hearing people don't have the option of doing). Well she looked at me with a straight face and said " Why don't you just stick your finger in your ear and close it off? " Oh so much to teach people about these CIs. When they shot the man out of the cannon I put my fingers in my ears without thinking. When that didn't make any difference with the noise around me, it hit me I couldn't do what my hearing friends were doing. I hurriedly turned both CIs off. Got a good laugh out of it. I've also stuck my fingers in my ears then listened to what they say. LOL Naughty, I know. I use the Freedom Bodyworn Controller and is strapped on my arm. Today, a client asked my mom if it is my mobile phone on my arm!
