Guest guest
dear christa, i was told that i never did have a lower left bundle branch block. i used to have worst tacicardia, until i started on co-q10. i've never heard of a pwc without complaints about heart arrythmia, etc. i gather that lack of exercise isn't helping us. i haven't a clue as to why we have heart symptoms. my doctors have obviously thought that cfids is in my head and never given much thought to my ekg's or heart murmur. sorry i can't be of any help. mayra
Guest guest
Hi Patty, I want to ask you about Hashimoto's ? Can you tell me more about your symptoms ? Thanks Fiona ----- Original Message ----- From: Sent: Monday, February 02, 2004 6:12 PM Subject: Re: heart pain Hi Ellen, I had the stabbing pains in my breasts, starting about 5-6 months post implantation, and I also had them after explant, for a period of time. I no longer have those stabbing pains in my breasts, and I do definitely relate it to the implants. No question there. I find it incredible that you were considered to be a candidate for breast implants with a pacemaker. I don't know why--it just seems so risky to me! I do hope that your health stays good. I am also 44 years old, and even though I have Hashimoto's autoimmune thyroid disease due to implants, my cholesterol is in great shape. I was borderline after I got sick from implants, noticing a higher cholesterol than I had ever had in my life, something like 201. After explant and lifestyle changes, including diet, my cholesterol, triglycerides and all other markers are so good that my naturopathic doctor sent me a letter of congratulations....(that made me feel very good!) I would really encourage you to watch your health very carefully in the coming months for signs of health problems that may be implant related. Of course, it is going to be very hard to find a doctor that will tell you the implants may be causing any subsequent health problems, especially given the fact that you have a pacemaker already. However, many times women will say they have symptoms such as vision disturbances, numbness or tingling in the extremities, joint pain, fatigue or malaise, brain fog or a number of other problems that have been common to implant victims, but then make the statement that they are having no problems with their implants. What they don't realize (and many doctors included in this) is that implant related problems are not strictly connected to only the implants or breasts. Implants can affect the whole body and many organs, with many of the symptoms being common to autoimmune diseases. The fact that all my symptoms went away over a period of time after explant proved to me that the implants had affected my whole body in a negative way. The stabbing pains you are having right now are just one sign that the implants are doing something...exactly what is hard to say, but it could be related to nerve damage, inflammation, or infection. Let us know what your doctor says... I will be very interested to hear, (but I have a feeling I already know.) Thanks for joining us... I hope you find our group very helpful to you! I have a pacemaker due to past heart history. My heart, at last check, was perfect. I'm in good shape, youngish (44), though on cholesterol meds despite good diet. For the past couple of weeks I've had almost constant chest pain. Stabbing. I've got this weird fear it's about the implants....... I'm going to the doctor today (obviously no one needs to tell me that). My question is: Has anyone had any problem like this due to implants?THANKS!Ellen (I'm new - I found this site when researching via google)

Guest guest
Ellen, Don't know if you've had any response, but yes, those hot, fiery burning stab pains do seem to be part of the package called breast implants. I had them a lot shortly after my op, then they stopped, only popping up occassionally. Now I get a less burning type of pain, but still the stab kind...does that make sense ? Guest guest
Hi Fiona, Hashimoto's, and thyroid problems in general, have a vast array of symptoms, with some people having only one or two, while others get the whole gamut. I did not know I had Hashimoto's for probably over a year, and then my astute naturopathic doctor tested me the first time I saw him and discovered it...and there is one test that proves Hashimotos: the anti-TPO Antibody test. If you have antibodies, your body is attacking your thyroid. Mine was definitely off the chart. Since this subject is so complex, I myself could not tell you enough about it. There's alot of excellent books on the subject of thyroid issues, but since you only asked a simple question, I am going to direct you to a website that you can look over for signs and symptoms of Hashimoto's. I would highly recommend that if you have any of these symptoms, get your thyroid tested, including TSH,T3, T4, anti-TPO antibodies, and probably the free T3 and free T4 too. Check it out here: http://thyroid.about.com/cs/hashimotos/ Let us know if you find out anything. By the way, hypothyroidism is quite common amongst implant victims. Guest guest
Thanks Fiona, Your kind words are so appreciated. I do this for one reason.... I remember what it felt like when I was first sick. I felt all alone, like I had fallen into a deep, dark abyss. I was scared. I needed to know how to find my way out of that awful place. I was so thankful for those women who had "stuck around" to help me. I would have been so lost without them. I'm just repaying their kindness, and will do it as long as God leads me. God bless you Fiona! Hugs, Patty ----- Original Message ----- From: Fiona Parkinson Sent: Wednesday, February 04, 2004 7:54 AM Subject: Re: heart pain Thanks Patty !
