Guest guest
, If you have the CA implant, you can see an indicator when you first turn the processor on - there are 3 bars on the top-left-hand part of the screen (I'm implanted in my left ear) and if you have the right ear implanted, the processor for that ear will show 3 bars on the upper right-hand part of the screen when you first turn that processor on. As for the reusable Dry and Store disks, you can get them via their site, for $6 a pop I believe. I had a blue or red dot at the bottom of my HAs that I could use. red=right blue=left. Or is the programming the same for each side? Dry & Store - I need to order some more bricks but recall someone saying you can get a can (?) that is " rechargeable " . I recall you put it in the oven and dry it out again. If someone has a favorite site for those products, please email me at rsneely@... As an update, it has been 6 months for my CI in my right ear. In one month, I will become bilateral and will do the " rehab " all over again. Looking forward to it and I do appreciate you all sharing comments and experiences. Have a great weekend! Guest guest
Hi I have two blue dry and store cases - the cases that you see on the AB website. I keep one for the left and the other for the right ear and hey presto, no problem! In any case the CIs have their own setting and is very clever as if you put the wrong processor on say the left ear, nothing will happen and so if you put the right processor on for the left ear then it will start working! You don't need to worry about dots but no reason why you can't use it on the processors! I would suggest that you perhaps do half an hour each day on your left ear and then three months later do it on the both ears separately for half an hour each day so that they get training. I would do it based on your hearing tests results so that you know what you need to work on. Guest guest
LOL, Elaine. I should think that the right processor would be the wrong processor for the left ear <g>. Isn't the English language fun? ;<) Virg > hey presto, no problem!
