Believe me I was implanted April 2007 activated May 2007 on my right side, my bad side. I can hear music! speech is taking a little longer but is fine. Just take it easy these coming days let people pamper you. I think you have to wear the patch for like 24 hours after that is gone you will feel better. Mine was worse, but 3 months later, it's actually better and I didn't realize it until I read your post. I sort of sat here and thought, hmmmm.... mine seems to be almost gone. Remember to take small steps at a time and practice and practice when you do get switchen on. The more you practice listening, the more you'll get out of it.
