Where's ? I think she got her C.I. operation done by the Mater

in Sydney, . I'm almost certain that she was a private patient

too.

My surgeon at the Mater in Brisbane - Dr Que Hee, pronounced Key Hee,

does private patients too. I'm not sure whether he uses the Mater or

a private clinic. If you contacted the Mater, they might be able to

tell you more. If you contact Dr Que Hee, who is an Australian, its

OK to mention my name. He is an excellent surgeon and the team at the

Mater are all excellent too.

I dont know how many lurkers there are, that read this group, in Oz.

I felt my ears burning Ted!

Yes, you are right. I went through the private hospital system (Mater

in Sydney) but using a surgeon that does both private and public. I

had to pay $800 extra for the anaesthetist, some of which I was able

to claim back from Medicare.

As for the mappings, I go to a private audiologist but the visits have

all been covered by medicare. Haven't had to pay a cent.

Haha, sorry :-)

Thanks , I'm sure that this is the kind of information that

is looking for.

I had mine done at the Mater in Brisbane as you know, and

lives in Brisbane and my surgeon has private patients too, so its

somewhere to start.
