Dave & all,

Stress is the leading cause of disease, heart attack, stroke,

hypertension, diabetes and a host of other ills. Stressing about what

you weigh is not a good thing. Unless you're pushing 300 and are 5 ft

tall, what's the problem? I lost my hearing by following the Drs orders

to get more exercise. Was riding a bicycle to a craft store when hit by

a car. Accident caused loss of hearing in the only ear that had hearing

to begin with. So one can easily see that exercise is hazardous to your

health. I think housecleaning may be as well. I'm not taking any

chances on that.

I've been fat and I've been thin. Fat is a lot easier to maintain.

You can eat some of what you like, and not have a frown on your face 24/7

worrying about your weight.

I could stand to lose 20 lbs, but I probably won't. Life is short.

Enjoy it.

Ted,

Sorry, but more expensive scales are no kinder than cheap ones: in fact

they may be worse. Not only do they tell you your putting it on, but

they may even nag you about why!

Have tried all the tricks, standing on one leg, holding a bunch of gas

filled balloons etc etc, cannot escape the sorry truth:I am getting

older and fatter.

Cannot diet in winter, bodies need fuel to survive the elements, but next

summer I will eat lots of salad and lose weight! (I will, I will..)

Dave
