Guest guest
There is a specific massage procedure that is for the 'release of memories' during which the patient releases stored memories from the cells. - I am wondering if when armour gets down into the cells, it triggers these memories somehow and releases them as well. jennyF > > My experience could have a bearing on this. Guest guest
Hi In a word yes! I think you'll find that once your memory has reviewed those old memories it will settle and they won't be intrusive any more. My memory still has holes, but I can now remember some appointments without checking my diary. Subject: Re: Judy Hi Sorry to butt in on this thread but I was interested in this: " Also my long term memory seems to have recovered and old memories keep popping up. " I have been experiencing this a lot lately too, even on small amounts of T3,and i got it on armour too. I keep getting like these random memories. Before, my memory has been good but not good at the same time, in that I remembered events and things but not people, like a kind of half working memory which failed to link up events and people. Can hypo-t affect long term memory in this way? Thanks Chris ------------------------------------ TPA is not medically qualified. Guest guest
Thanks for asking Gwen. The surgery didn't go quite as planned. The mass was a bit larger than they anticipated, about the size of a football. And it was cancerous. So they removed everything. My uterus, both ovaries and fallopian tubes, and cervix. The tumor seemed intact and contained but they remove everything in cases like that to be safe. We're awaiting final pathology reports to determine what next, i.e. chemo, etc. I'm doing okay. The last of the bandages were removed this today and the catheter was removed a little while ago so I was able to take a shower which makes me feel a hundred times better. I'm in a bit of pain but that's to be expected. Hopefully I'll go home tomorrow, I miss my boys terribly!! Love, Judy (mom to , age 12, NT, and Jake, age 10.5, ASD) Judy Has anyone heard how Judy's surgery went?
Guest guest
Judy: I am so glad the surgery went good. That is a huge mass you had to be in severe pain. I will keep praying for you. I hope they were able to catch it early enough that you don't need chemo or anything else. Gwen autism From: jacyone@...Date: Thu, 17 Sep 2009 16:05:26 +0000Subject: Re: Judy Thanks for asking Gwen. Guest guest
Dearest Judy -- My heart is sad that you are going through this...I'm also happy that it looked contained. I will pray you through this, everytime God brings you to mind...I look at it this way -- no matter how different or the same we all are...God lead us all here at the same time...My heart goes out, as well as my prayers... Guest guest
Hi Judy, I had the Nucleus 5 implanted in September 2009, and was mapped for the first time in October. Chipmunk sounds, lots of background noises (I was hearing the traffic 2 blocks away, and so forth). 93 mappings later, I was still not happy with it. And I kept telling the audiologist I wanted SPEAK, which is a slower strategy, and the one I use on my older (N24) implant. It wasn't available. Until a month ago. NOW I have the SPEAK strategy on the N5, and can talk on the phone, don't have annoying sounds, and LOVE it. Would that it were available 18 months ago when I had my implant. SO, in addition to asking for a cochlear audiologist to come do a mapping, also ask them to try SPEAK and/or CIS, which is a 3rd strategy. Because some people do not do well with ACE, which is the default strategy they try on everyone first. And if I didn't know from experience, I would have thought that's what it was supposed to sound like. So do ask for a Cochlear audiologist to come in, and if they try to tell you that " Slow ACE is the same as SPEAK " stick out your tongue and say, " NO IT IS NOT " . " Humor me, put a SPEAK map on " . Somehow it has gotten into audiologists' heads that ACE run at a slow rate is the same as SPEAK. It is not. And we who know from experience need to get the word out. Map 99 was the charm! ____________________________________________________________ Groupon & #8482 Official Site 1 ridiculously huge coupon a day.
