Guest guest
I was trying to respond about the 3G that someone was looking for and someone sent her one. My story was that my 3G somehow brokd near the head piece and have no idea where the missing piece went. I put scotch tape over the open part near the microphone. I had gone to a new CI Doctor and he set me up for the N5 implant and the Audi who had activated me in January surprised me with a N 3G replacement from Cochlear and programed and took the broken one and put it in a Cochlear box to send back immediately .Was not charged and just surprised. This helped as the new implant is helping restore 60 years of silence which is slowly working . Sounds are so different . Taking one day at a time and to my surprise I pick up the difference between a man and woman voices which my 21 year old N22 3G was never able to do so. Still have a way to go with programming this new N5 and return to Audi on April 7, I had this N5 implant done on December 22nd and was activated January 7th of this year.. Just thought that checking with Cochlear to get an N22 replacement by sending old or broken one back would help others. in MO
