Guest guest
Hello, I am a new member. My daughter is 3 1/2 and got her CI 09/2009. We have had 2 subsequent surgeries because the CI keeps " migrating " to the surface. No infection, so the surgeon keeps putting it back and attaching it more securly. I was wondering if anyone has heard of this or had it happen to them. I am being told it is very unusual. I appreciate your help. Thank you, Amy
Guest guest
Amy, If I were you I would get a send opinion from a different CI surgeon..... someone who specializes in difficult cases. That is what I would do. Happy Hearing! Guest guest
Thank you for your comments. If anyone has any recommendations, I would love to hear them. The last surgery was emergency so I didn't have a lot of options, but I have already decided that if we need to do anything further, we will change surgeons. We are at Children's Hospital Of Michigan so my next logical choice is U of M. Thanks again.
