Guest guest
Bill, A and B are just generic letters, people didn't feel comfortable disclosing the actual names of the CI manufactureres on this list-serv. Guest guest
This ISN'T the way I understand it, Chris. As far as I know, it was Advanced Bionics that started using the term manufacturer A and Manufacturer B to protect one of their suppliers. Some things should NOT be swept under the rug. Most AB devices work fine, but history says that there was a bad batch, many of which failed and are still failing. When people come to this site looking for reliable information when they are researching C.I.'s we owe them the truth, in their search, as regards what happened. People who post here of their implant fialure are posting about their own experience and their own misery.
