Guest guest
Patty, your holiday sounded wonderful. I am glad you have such a warm holiday with such a great family. Close knitted it sounds like too! Chicken noodle soup, homemade, mmmm, my favorite! Did you get any special favorite gifts this year? I was just happy that my son Tyler finally broke the fever! And on Christmas day too! Great gift! my hubby even got real sick and missed 4 days of work (which he never does!) But both are well, and I didn’t catch it! I almost did, started to feel achy with a sore throat, but doubled up on garlic and vitamin C. I also did hot baths in epson salts each night with cleansing enema's Resolutions? Gotta few! I want to start fasting three days per month as a habit. As of the 1st-I am planning on starting a 7 day fast with the 1st 3 days being the master cleanse (lemon, water, maple syrup) followed by 4 days of juicing (not too many greens though!) With coffee enemas daily at night. And when finished a liver flush! I'm so excited. I want to get pregnant later this year, so my resolution is too detox for the next 7 months big time! I am also seeing another doc near bye to start some chelation therapy for the remainder of the junk left behind (patty, how many sessions did you have and for how long? Could you elaborate on your experience with this? I really value and would like your opinion on this one, please ) -And also go without any meat this whole month of Jan. I also want to read more of the Bible and spend more alone time with my grandma. How bout yours? Love --- Original Message ----- From: Dave & Patty Sent: Friday, December 26, 2003 11:36 AM Subject: Christmas is over! Christmas is over, hard to believe! I hope all of you had a wonderful day, filled with peace and joy. We had a very nice, relaxing enjoyable day at home with my family--I couldn't have asked for a nicer holiday! For me, it was just perfect. My kids are incredible--most families that I know of have a mad dash to the tree early in the morning, with most parents being woke up by kids begging them to hurry up so they can tear into their gifts. My kids tend to sleep soundly enough and long enough that my husband and I have time to shower and dress and get some hot cocoa or hot tea prepared before we gather around the tree to pray. And my kids know that they will participate in the prayer, each of us giving thanks to our Father above for His precious gift of Jesus Christ. The rest of our day was great fun, as we played together as a family, both indoors and out. And no big turkey dinner for us! Nobody wanted much food, hallelujah! I made a big pot of homemade chicken noodle soup complete with my homemade, hand cut noodles...my family's all time favorite, and that suited me just fine. I pray each of you had a day filled with love and blessings from above as well. Any New Years resolutions?? I have them every year, and not the least of which is to eat better! Even tho we eat pretty healthy, there is always room for improvement, and this year, I definitely indulged in too many sweets. We still have candies that were given to us as gifts sitting in the kitchen, and it is taking all my willpower to resist them this morning....I'll probably indulge a few more times, but come January 1st, that is it! I wish all of you a heart filled with gratitude for all that has been accomplished in your life in 2003, and a heart filled with hope for what will happen in your life in 2004--may it be a year of incredible blessing to each of you. Hugs to all, Patty
Guest guest
Hi ! It sounds like your family had to work hard to get through the Christmas season with the bug that was going around! I am so glad to hear that you are all better now, and that you didn't get knocked down too bad. I am the same way...I can be around sick people, but I never seem to get sick. My teenage son had the flu and missed 3 days of school in December, he was sicker than I have ever seen him before in my life, but I didn't even get a sniffle. My husband used to get sick every single winter, we could count on it, (this was before my implants). But since we have been detoxing and eating so healthy, he hasn't gotten sick hardly at all...it if a definite testimony to the importance of keeping your immune system strong. It sounds like you have a good plan for detoxing this month! Are you doing the Master cleanse now? I wanted to start right away too, but we are leaving today to go to Phoenix to see my in-laws, and I will have no choice about the foods I am being served, so I have to wait until we get back on Monday. I will probably do some fasting, a liver flush, and then focus on no sugar, no white flour (by the way, one of my favorite Christmas gifts was a Jupiter Stone flour mill... I can grind fresh flours right from the whole grain--no more store bought flour for me!), no icky fats, no processed foods, but I am going to try to eat according to the Weston Price Foundation guidelines, which focuses on traditional cultures. I'll be trying to eat more vegetables, do more juicing, and make more fermented and cultured foods. It is more like a hobby to me now, as I love to be in the kitchen, but it has been so hard for me while trying to keep up with our businesses. I know it won't be easy, but I am going to give it my best shot. I look at it as continuing education! I hope I never stop learning as long as I am alive. My other resolution will be to get down to 125 pounds. I was at 129, but gained 7 pounds in December! Yikes! It sounds like your detox plan is a good one, and you have the right mind about preparing for a healthy pregnancy. In Weston Price's book "Nutrition and Physical Degeneration", he covers in great detail the effect of nutrition on both mother and fetus and how a modern diet has affected generations. In traditional cultures, almost universally we find that the bride to be was fed a generous diet of special foods in preparation of possible pregnancy, (for about 6 months) and in some cases even the groom to be was fed a nutritious diet. When the woman was pregnant and nursing, that focus on special foods continued to ensure the healthy growth of the child. About my chelation therapy....this was suggested to me by my naturopathic physician in Tucson in 1998 right after I had been explanted and had done some fasting. He checked my heavy metal load, and found I had high mercury and arsenic, and so put me on DMSA as my chelating agent. DMSA works well to chelate mercury. (He used DMPS as the chelator to find out how much heavy metals I was dumping during my challenge test...it was a shot.) DMSA was given to me in pill form, and I took 50 mg for 30 days, went off for 30 days, checked my metals again, and even though the mercury and arsenic were down, I wanted to get to zero, so we did another 30 days of 50 mg pills. I took those once a day. I also was given a multi-mineral and I can't remember if it was at the same time or on the 30 day rest period, but I was told that since chelating agents remove good minerals as well as bad metals, I needed to supplement with a good multi-mineral. Makes sense to me. I read a number of books on chelating when introduced to it ( I always like to get educated about this stuff!) I read "Toxic Metal Syndrome" by Drs Casdorph and , "40-Something Forever" by the Brecher's, "It's All in Your Head" by Dr. Hal Huggins, "Bypassing Bypass" by Dr. Elmer Cranton (and I also communicated with this Dr. by email), and "Amalgam Illness" by Cutler PhD. I joined a group about mercury detox and Dr. Cutler was on that one, so I emailed him numerous times about chelation therapy. He suggested that Alpha Lipoic Acid also works as a mild chelator, and he gave me a source to buy DMSA without prescription, so I did further chelation therapy on my own even after I left Tucson, and followed his protocol. I still have some DMSA here. The pills are very reasonably priced, not like EDTA which can costs thousands. EDTA chelates different metals, too, so what you need to find out is what metals you are dealing with, and what would be the best chelator for them. Really, the only two most common choices now are DMSA and EDTA. You should become informed about the different chelating agents (and I would steer clear of DMPS--it is very controversial). You should be very proactive in this and know what you are being given and in what amounts. I called around here in Vegas to find out who was using what, and was mortified to hear of one doctor who was giving a 500 mg DMPS shot to chelate mercury once a month! Yikes! What you want to avoid is a huge dump of chelating agent that will stir up that mercury in such amounts that your body can't possibly eliminate it all at once--the effect is that you just move it around so it can cause more damage in other parts of the body. NOT GOOD, and not good for the kidneys. You want a slow removal process, with just enough chelator to get rid of a good amount, and then you repeat it at intervals. That was Dr. Cutler's protocol, and it sounds very reasonable to me. At least that is my 2 cents on the subject, anyway! Please let me know how you fare. I am glad to see one of your resolutions is to read more of the Bible. It is an amazing treasure--God's word to us--and my life has been radically altered for the better because of it. Reading your Bible on a daily basis can only bless you and your family! Well, I better get ready to go. We are leaving for Arizona in a few hours and I have not even packed. Take care!
