Guest guest
Hi everyone, Thank you for your continued prayers on my behalf! The MRI was yesterday, they did part of it with dye due to my breast cancer history. Then I went on to my PT appt. re: the possibility of lymphedema in my arm where I had lymph nodes removed. I had felt a little swelling under my arm (possibly due to what I am now fighting) I was thankful to learn that I do not have the dreaded lymphedema, but my PT will teach me some exercises to keep the lymph flowing. I tried to concentrate on other things the rest of the day, but it was hard not to think of the MRI and what it would show. I still felt in my heart that it was not cancer, for my Mayo Doctor said my prognosis was 96% esp. since I did the mastectomy. Plus, just too many symptoms that are auto-immune related but not disease specific. Well..I got the call from my Doctor's nurse just awhile ago...I figured it couldn't be bad news with her calling. She said the MRI was perfectly normal!! She also said my Doc is working on a referral to MAYO, and that I should pursue getting my implants out. She wanted me to call the PS that put them in. Hmmm, that should be interesting. Anyway, I am relieved it is not something else, knowing it is the implants gives me control again because I can do something for myself that should improve my health significantly. So, now I have lots of ?'s... My plan is to call Dr. Feng's manager, as suggested. I also will call Dr. Huang in Denver. If any of you have personal experience with her, let me know. The other possibility is having it done in Minneapolis or Rochester(Mayo)...those would be more likely to be covered by insurance. Interestingly, I heard from the MRI tech. that he used to work in a hospital in Minneapolis where they routinely do breast MRI's to detect leakage. He said that they had at least one a day! Have any of you had that done? Not that I need proof, but am wondering if a leak is causing the recent severity of my symptoms. One of you mentioned, or maybe I read it in someone's story, that they had antibiotics prescribed to deal with saline contaminant, etc. One breast does appear a bit smaller, not very noticeable though. Meanwhile, I took garlic capsules this morning and plan on getting some real garlic, too as Rogene suggests. My concern with MAYO, as wonderful a clinic as it is, it is also focused on traditional, conventional medicine. Maybe there is a PS associated with them that does En Bloc removal. I would think there would need to be some excellent PS's associated with Mayo just because of their reputation, but who knows? Getting one who is very sympathetic to the cause is important to me, also one that would focus on healing from the toxicity - or pointing me in the right direction anyway. I am so glad my Doc believes me, guess my letter to her, along with a copy of a few testimonies helped to convince her as well. I have this site to thank for that!!! Anyway, I also plan on contacting a Women's Breast clinic in Minneapolis, they are the ones with the MRI detecting leaks. Sigh, I think this will be common practice everywhere soon. There will more than likely be a " BIG BUST " on ALL implants soon, know what I mean? Meanwhile there exists sites like this for support & information and a few sympathetic docs out there - Praise God! Oh, Kathy, I think it was you that mentioned RH-10 from Garden of Life....not sure if I read about that here yet, what is it and where can you get it? Thanks again all. Blessings, Sharon
