Guest guest
, That would be a good question for your surgeon since its still soon after surgery. I sneeze a lot, got a dog in the house but have not noticed that. Yes, patience is key. *---* *---* *---* *---* *---* A grenade thrown into a kitchen in France would result in Linoleum Blownapart. & Dreamer Doll ke7nwn Newport, Oregon N24C 8/2000 Hookup rclark0276@... http://webpages.charter.net/dog_guide/
Guest guest
Micheal - I echo what says, it is a good question for your surgeon. I was recently implanted September 4, with my second CI. I too experienced the boom, when I sneezed a few times after surgery and it scared me. I did inform my audi about this and she said it was the blood and fluid in my tube from the surgery. I did not experience this the first time, and sneezed quite a bit more then. I think it last about 4 weeks and then it was gone. That was also, when I realized I had some residual hearing left in that ear. Again, please do check with your surgeon or audi. ~ Kitty S. - Cochlear Volunteer ~ The Cat addicted to hearing, Meow!!! Guest guest
Good to see you, . I didnt have any problems with sneezing. If you have the latest Cochlear implant, its called the Freedom. I'm pretty certain that's what you will have if Dr Que Hee did the surgery. How many mappings have you had? Did you get a 2-day activation and first mapping, then once a week for about a month? Ted F. Down the road :-) > > Hi > > I had a Nucleus 24 inserted on 16th October 2008 and was activated on 3rd November 2008. Making progress, but not quite up to full speech clarity yet, but patience is the key, right? I have just noticed that when I sneeze (can't recall sneezing since the operation until now) I can hear a loud reverberating " boom " noise, which fades rapdily. This happens with the processor on or off. Has anyone else noticed this? > > Thanks > Wishart > Brisbane, Queensland, Australia >
