Guest guest
Hey folks I need some advise. I received my implant almost three years ago, freedom bte. I was a long term deaf person caused by a fall at the age of 12, I was completely deaf for 43 years. After the implant I started hearing, from almost the first day of activation which was March 27, 2006. It became better and better and I was making out some sounds and voices not all of them by a long shot but some which was real good and I was happy with it. It has been almost a year since I been in for a checkup. Lately I have been noticing that when people are talking behind me I can't hear them. This is really upsetting me, because I have been hearing people behind me from almost the beginning. I have tried changing the setting, changing the filter and even the batteries but nothing helps. Is there anything anyone can tell me that I might be missing. Thank you, Patsy Freedom Feb 24, 2006 Activated March 27, 2006 **************One site keeps you connected to all your email: AOL Mail, Gmail, and Mail. Try it now. Guest guest
Lil Klein, I'm waiting to hear from my audiologist in St Louis, she's been out of the office because of the holidays. I know she will get right back with me as soon as she gets my message. I expect her to make an appointment for me to come in. **************One site keeps you connected to all your email: AOL Mail, Gmail, and Mail. Try it now. Guest guest
Patsy, Have you tried replacing your microphone cover? If that doesn't work what about contacting your audiologist or Hear Always-depending on who you deal with problems with your processor-and brain storming ideas with them. Also, most people go in at least once a year for some fine tuning on their processor. Lil Klein ~ Hampshire, IL
