Guest guest
Hi, Patsy! It sounds to me like you might need a tweaking of your maps! I hardly ever go a whole year, and if I were experiencing gradually not hearing people behind me, I would get an appointment with the audiologist! But I don't have a Nucleus! Guest guest
If your hearing has been tested and you really are doing ok- maybe it's just that in the beginning you were not used to hearing much, so everything sounded so much clearer to you as compared to what you were used to. Now you're used to hearing and are " leveling off " (hope I'm making sense!) Guest guest
That makes complete sense, and that's what my husband was saying. I just think that's it's weird, even my friends say that I'm asking them to repeat more that I did in the beginning. And I'm really working on my hearing exercises. I'm not discouraged, and am still very grateful. Just interested in responses. I'm so fortunate! The other audiologist I'm working with said that I'm one of the best patients she has seen as well as the head of the research department. I just find it odd that I felt like I heard better before. Oh well, I'm just happy and again thankful for the invention of the CI!!
