Guest guest
LOL ? THANK YOU.? You gave me a good chuckle. (xanax) lol?? I guess its good to know she is not ALONE or that this isn't just because of HER or US.? That this is " typical " middle school behavior.? WHEW!? She is my oldest....... Thanks for all the ideas!?? Happy Holidays! Re:advice? ideas? HELP Hi, , It sounds like the problem is that she is TWELVE! I know that doesn't help, but unfortunately it's true. She doesn't want to be singled out, especially this first year in Middle School. We had a kid who used to flush his hearing aids down the toilet! We teachers couldn't allow him to go to the men's room unattended! How are her lip reading skills? I wonder if going back to the old tried and true " sitting in the front row " might help a little. A talk with her and the teachers together to " brainstorm " an unobtrusive way to allow her to wear her FM and not have it obvious that it's solely for her? Although she is mainstreamed, I wonder if the special ed/deaf/HH staff might be able to help here? Sending you prayers to help you cope at this difficult time. Wouldn't hurt to ask your doctor for some xanax, either - for you! LOL Good luck! Jackie :o/ **************One site keeps you connected to all your email: AOL Mail, Gmail, and Mail. Try it now. Guest guest
If you are asking about the chair loop. It is a special looped mat that the chair sits on and the person only needs to switch to T-coil. I wonder if it can be attached to the FM system, and use her TCoil with no problem. She won't need to wear a boot or anything. Just her processor/HA that's it. Guest guest
The chair loop would have to be connected to the audio source. Nice for tv etc but not sure its practical in a classroom. Either a looped room or an FM system would probably be more practical. Both would allow for more freedom of movement without loss of audio. (isnt it sqitch not switch?) Guest guest
That's why I was thinking mat would be good. Good point though Snoopy could loop the whole school once! (Winks... ya right!) I was thinking mat would be more mobile and cost effective. Sigh... Hmm, what about wearing the lup under blouse or something? Hidden away? (Down fall, won't have easy access to volume control...) Guest guest
Now I get it all after reading the Kitty vs emails. I think. Kitty made a boo boo when she said squitch instead of switch, spotted the error and said " isnt it squitch not switch? " By the way shouldn't " isnt " be isn't? (Ducky from throwing a pie, hopefully lemon, my way). Back goes Kitty with the =~~~~ (raspberries). Now Dolly Dolphin is swimming around two first names - Kitty vs Dorthy (is Dorthy spelt right as you said " Dorthy Dolphin " ? I am use to seeing Dorothy). Kitty S. on the Inbox but you signed of as Dorthy. Which would you like me to type up? Right now poor Kitty/Dorthy is drying out as she just been SPLASH with ocean water requested by . Dolly Dolphin waiting for Kitty/Dorthy to chase me around the ocean Re: Re:advice? ideas? HELP Dolly, What Kitty did was to cover up her boo boo she made when I caught her.
