Just a reminder that Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth

Texas is hosting , MS, CCC-SLP, LSLS Cert. AVT

(Director of First Years Program at UNC-Chapel Hill), for " Unlocking

the Doors to Academic Success! The Keys: Reading Aloud, Phonemic

Awareness, and Oral Narration. The course is FREE FOR PARENTS OF

CHILDREN WITH HEARING LOSS!

Thursday and Friday, Januray 22-23, 2009

We have several options for attendance

1 - live on site

2 - for those who can not attend on site outside the greater Fort

Worth and Tarrant county areas, we have

* videoconference - www.connect2texas.net (type in Unlocking

the Doors in the title option after clicking on the calendar and

events link)

* Live web-stream option from the comfort of your own home on

your computer

Fees for professionals (your therapists, teachers, audiologists,

etc.) are very reasonable. We are an ASHA approved provider and

will be applying for AG Bell LSLS CEUs for those working towards

certification in AVT or AVEd
