Guest guest
Shari, you are so lucky to have a doctor who believes you! Send me a copy, I'd love to see it. My address is 8358 Brock Road Spotsylvania, VA 22553. I'll look up livedo reticularis (what a word!)to see if it looks like what I have. Thanks for the info! Pam > pam > > I had the same problems with the buldging veins and purpilish spots kind of like a lace looking pattern. When I went to see Dr Vasey (our local Tampa Rhummy who believes us and is the author of a book about implant problems)a few weeks back I didn't even mention it to him. When he first saw me and before he even looked at my medical records he was listing off what he figured was happening to me and was almost exact. Then he looked at my arms and said " oh yes - you have livedo reticularis too - a common problem in women with implants " . I didn't even know what this was but I think it is a condition in which the veins go into spasm in certain areas due to crappy circulation - aka - silicone in the veins. You may want to look this up. I found alot of pics - some are very severe cases and some look just like mine. It was pretty neat - he wrote my primary a letter that I received a copy of in the mail yesterday telling of my visit and what problems I have and that they are directly related to silicone exposure through the shell of my implants. It is a very nice letter in that at least my primary will have another doctor telling her what i already have and that he has seen this in over 2000 women w/ implants. If anyone is interested in getting a copy for a non-unerstanding doc I will send it. It may not work since you wouldn't be listed as the patient but it is nice to have something in writing from a doctor for once telling people that I/we am not a hypochondriac or crazy. it really made me feel good - I guess it was worth the 7 month wait to get an appt w/ him!! > hope this helped > > shari
