Guest guest
patty thanks. I really don't know what to do. The antibiotics don't really seem to be working to me but I could be worse without them. who knows? BAck in November before my first operation on them I had two IV antibiotic treatments in 1 week and it didn't touch it. I have tried over 6 different types in the last 8 months that all of this has been going on and i really haven't seen anything work. I bought fungal defense and have been hitting the garlic pretty hard. I am also cutting back on sugar and am thinking about starting the atkins diet to give me a goal. my candida is really out of control - I can feel it. I feel so tired everyday and sore a yucky. the sinus crap is soooo painful and my pain meds barely touch it. I can't sleep for longer than 2 hours at a time at night and now I am geting an ear infection in my left ear to boot. I am freaking about about the antibiotic stuff because I can't afford for the infection to get worse but I also can't afford to get more yeast. ugghh!! I don't know what to do. My hubby advised not taking any of it and letting my body fight itself but I think that it is so rundown now it will get worse. I have been taking baths w/ epsom salts and looking into coconut oils - would you recemmend any? if so - how do I take it and how much? thanks for listening to my rambling and excuse the typos - i am at work thanks shari
Guest guest
Hi Shari, It sounds to me like the antibiotics have not been touching whatever infection you have. Have your doctors pursued the fungal aspect? Have you had any anti-fungal treatments or medications? It is hard to say what the best route to follow would be regarding your current antibiotic usage, but my feeling is that if it isn't helping your current infection, it may not be worth taking. I don't know. You may be making the whole candida issue worse, and may need to stop them just so your candida can get under control. Coconut oil does have anti-candida properties, and I love coconut oil on my skin, on my hair, and in my hot drinks. I buy mine from this website: http://www.wildernessfamilynaturals.com/mall/virgin_coconut_oil.asp It certainly can't hurt to try adding it to your daily routine. You don't want to overdo it, but you can rub it on your skin (it is a great moisturizer!), rub it on your scalp (great hair tonic) and you can take it by mouth. I personally can't stand it straight from the spoon, although some people take it that way. I add it to my baking in place of other oils, but in order to get a daily dose, I find the easiest way is to let a Tablespoon of it melt in my hot drinks, like chai. I have a hot pot that heats up water in about a minute (I don't use my microwave), so I just pour the hot water over the coconut oil to melt it and it makes the drinks very creamy and smooth. I am always looking for more ways to get it down...it is not easy, I'll admit. I hope this helps you ...I feel sorry for what you are dealing with. Guest guest
Sadly none of my doctors have ever even mentioned the fungal problem as a possibility. If it wasn't for you guys I would still be looking - I had to do all of rescearch myself after what the group had shared on candida and such. I, without a doubt, have serious candida issues. I took this quiz I found online and any score over 85 meant you had a serious issue - I scored over 300! They know I have been on long term antiboitics as well as birth control pills. I can't really believe after all thay I have read that they wouldn't have picked up on this. i have nearly all the symptoms. If I had started addressing this 4 months ago I would me much better now. I guess now I will stick w/ the fungal defense for another week until it is gone and buy some coconut oil too. It it pretty nasty? I will figure out a way to take it. How much per day? I think you are right about the antibiotics - I just am worried that if I stop them I will need another sinus surgery which I honestly don't think I could take. If I could take the time off, I would hit every product out there pretty hard but I am worried about herxing and missing work. I also have a 2 year old to take care of so I need to take it slow. Itis pretty gross to think of this nasty crap growing inside me and no doctor telling me about it. I have literally spent thousands the last year on appts and it has never come up. After the 4th week of antibiotics from my ENT I had to ask for a script for Diflucan - he looked at me confused for a minute then realized what was going on. Not that it will work but I doubt it will hurt. I have been reading alot about " threelac " powder - any ideas on this? I read a bunch of stories saying that it works pretty quickly. thanks shari
Guest guest
Shari, I would recommend that you go to your doctors and ask to be put on anti-fungal meds instead of antibiotics. Diflucan is just one choice. Have they not even entertained the possibility that a fungal infection may be the source of your trouble? Hard to believe they haven't even considered that...is that what you said??? For goodness sake, I would think these doctors would get a clue sometime! I don't know if you ever mentioned your saline implants, but definitely, fungal infections are one of the issues with saline implants. I hope if you start getting treated with the antifungals, you will begin to see some progress. Don't be concerned that if you stop the antibiotics it will somehow make you worse...remember, if your issue is fungal in nature instead of bacterial, the antibiotics can't do anything good for you anyway. That is why you are not seeing improvement, and in fact, they can do much worse where candida is concerned. The key is to get at the root of the problem, and if antibiotics were the answer, you would see some definite improvement. On the coconut oil, start out with 1 Tablespoon a day. It actually tastes pretty good in hot cocoa and chai! I love it. But I don't drink that often because of the sugar. I know how hard this is with young ones. My son was only 3 when I got so sick. It was very, very hard to be a good mom, and although I am a good mom now, I had terrible guilt over it at the time. I luckily had help from my older kids, too. You will get through this, so stay hopeful. But definitely get on some antifungals. Ask your doctor for something today. By the way, you might want to also consider a live blood analysis test, like had done, where she could even see the fungus in her blood. I am so impressed that she was able to see her blood get better and better as she detoxed. That's real proof! Let us know Shari. Hugs, Patty ----- Original Message ----- From: halvey70@...
