, I've been on the Duragesic (Fentanyl) patches before. They

started me on 25mg and then after 2 weeks increased it to 50. I was

wearing one and it broke open and leaked. It was brand new! So, I

called the manufacturer and they told me they would replace the patch

for me but that I needed to get a note from my doctor. When I told

her office manager what happened, she told the doctor and came back

to the phone and told me basically it was too bad and that I would

have to wait until my prescription could be written again which was 3

more days and that I wouldn't have withdrawal! I called the

manufacturer again and they told me the withdrawal could be so bad

that it could be fatal! They said you absolutely have to wean down

first to the 25mg then take pain pills once the 25's come off. I

called my doctor back very upset and that's when it got ugly and my

doctor dumped me. But that's also how I found this group. I was so

upset yet so determined to find the cause of my illness and help for

it especially after being treated that way by a doctor. Since then

I've been on Hydrocodone 10, OR Percocet 5's, and then the

Methadone. I'm really scared of the patches because of what happened

but you are right, they work great!

Take care!

Pam

, I think you've had experience

with oxycontin, right? I was
