I don't know that ANY scar tissue in the breast is normal. I would sure hate to think that I have any in there. I guess I look at it from the standpoint, would scar tissue naturally develop in a non-implanted breast? No, it wouldn't. Lumps may develop, and these are different-- they are hormonally related, but they are not scar tissue. Big difference there, so you need to be aware of that and allow for that possibility. Lumps can be benign....I've had lumps before, and they have come and gone with hormonal fluctuations, and I found rubbing my breasts with Evening primrose oil gets rid of them.

If you had an en bloc removal, in which the entire scar capsule was removed along with the implant, I don't see how you could have any scar tissue left. The only thing I can think of is if you had a rupture, and silicone gel migrated to different areas, and your body is trying to wall off these blobs of silicone, then you might have scar tissue from that. Sometimes these blobs present enough problems that they have to be removed. That is something only you can determine, based on what you feel is going on, and what the doctors are telling you through diagnostic procedures, .

God bless,

Patty

Patty I do not have the capsule in still, I have scar tissue though. Is this as bad? I've read numerous articles are the dangers of leaving capsules in. I had complete enbloc surgery. My breast has painful lump. How big is normal PS said its fine. do you believe him? I'm trying to get him to get me an MRI then go to anohter dr. for second opinion. Please comment on how much scar tissue is normal (as in lumps in breast)

God Bless,
