Guest guest
LOL! Jolene, I've just been sitting here wondering if I should post the same question ! I get the same thing, but all the way down my spine to about where my ribs end. My neck has been better after staying off sugar and getting rid of Candida, but when I stand with my feet slightly apart, arms raised, bent at the elbows and I turn my torso from side to side w/o moving my hips, there is a distinct grinding sound emanating from my neck/spine. It's more audible if I hold my breath....my GP , the twit, said it was air being displaced in the chest cavity, but as far as I know, your lungs would collapse if you had that much air in there, and secondly, everyone I've asked to do the same move, does not have this noise coming from their spines. I've had silicone implants for 10 years now, having explant soon. Guest guest
Hi there My neck has been stiff and creaking/cracking for several years. I can move my head further to the right than the left. It is always creaking and I have severe muscle tension and spasms in the left side mainly - the trap muscle, neck and shoulder area. I had an implant rupture in 99 that I had replaced and this had been going on ever since. If it weren't for the neck creaking I may have never found out about it being my implants as when I went to the doctor for it he was feeling around the tissue there and asked me if I had been in a bad accident as it felt like there was a ton of " crunchy " scar tissue in my neck/trap area. I have never been in an accident and mention the implant rupture which is what led me to this site. He feels like it is scar tissue as well as small particles of silicone that rubbed off my my textured implant shell that is causing this - needless to say I had them removed shari
Guest guest
These last 10 years, (I had mine for 9 years, and been explanted over 1) I have always creaked and cracked all over. Even as I walk down the stairs, my bones, or whatever crack, and creak. Esp in the morning. like my neck and legs esp. I am even 30, and sound like I am falling apart! ----- Original Message ----- From: Fiona Parkinson Sent: Monday, March 01, 2004 9:58 PM Subject: Re: Neck creaking and cracking LOL! Guest guest
Sounds like it to me! I had terrible neck pain for a long time. I could hardly lift my head off the pillow to turn over in bed...any movement was very painful, and the pain went up into the base of my skull. I used to have throbbing pain the lower back of my head constantly. I'm glad to say that's been gone for quite awhile, but it did take over a year and a half to go away. But the relief is blessed. It was also quite interesting that when I did fasting, in addition to the rash I got on my breasts, (a sign of toxins leaving), I had the same rash on my scalp, right in the back part of my head. Guest guest
Some of the silicone-ill women have been diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis, and the symptoms seem to be fairly common to us. I was diagnosed with osteopenia in my spine last year, but I am hoping that will be improved on my next dexascan. Guest guest
Shari One of my most obstinate symptoms is my neck. Like yours, it creaks and cracks terribly. The tendons and muscles were so hard they were like rocks. Nothing helped. Not massage. NOt chiropractic, exercise, nothing. And I didn't have silicone implants. My doctor that prescribed antibiotic therapy for me said that they were part of an imflammation process that would get better as I got better with the antibiotic protocol. Interestingly enough, whenever I herx to antibiotics or anything, my neck first gets much worse---like it was before explant--the tendons so hard and stiff you can't believe it, then it loosens up and stops creaking for a short while. I also always get a headache with it. When not herxing, my neck is for the most part considerably better but not normal. I recently went through some expensive massage treatments-- 2 x week for several weeks, and it didn't alter the neck problem at all. Apparently it is more related to imflammation than anything else. I realized the neck is just the tip of the iceberg. My legs and arms and hands would hurt for the same reason---abnormally tight muscles and tendons--and this waxed and waned with treatment also. So I think that your neck will do better as the rest of you resonds to the different therapies for improving. Good luck and God bless. love, kathy > Hi there > > My neck has been stiff and creaking/cracking for several years. I can move my head further to the right than the left. Guest guest
Kathy thanks for the input. The neck stuff is what really lead me to find out the truth about implants. I didn't have silicone either but after the rupture in all the stiffness started. My left shoulder and neck area are like cement - I have had several profesional massages over the last few years as it is what I always ask for from my hubby for my birthday, etc., is a trip to the "Spa". shortly after the rupture I had one done and the girl said that my neck and trap area was really "crunchy" feeling - she had never felt anything like it. I had her spend most of my hour on this area and she could not work it loose. It is really weird - I am almost year post explant and it hasn't changed. I don't think Antibiotics is the answer in my case as i have been on them continuously since September due to chronic sinus problems -(I am sure you have seen the posts). I really can't afford to get massages more often although they do seem to help for a while. thanks shari
Guest guest
Shari, Are you on an anti-candida diet? I was flipping through my "Yeast Connection" book tonight in preparation for meeting with Daryl, who by the way, was recently diagnosed with THRUSH, miraculously..... finally someone is seeing this poor girl has a chronic yeast problem! More on that in a minute...Anyway, I noticed that one of the symptoms is chronic sinusitis....and I immediately thought of you. It makes sense since you have been on so many antibiotics. I hope you are not still taking antibiotics, because if this is definitely a chronic yeast issue, antibiotics will only make it worse. Incredibly, Daryl's doctor, in spite of the obvious yeast issue with the thrush in her mouth, didn't give her a prescription for any diflucan or anti-fungal whatsoever, but told Daryl she wanted to do some more research about candida first. (Daryl's computer is in the shop again, so she can't write this to the group herself at the moment.) She told Daryl that if she really had a chronic candida problem, she would be in the hospital in intensive care, with IV's sticking out of her! So, clearly, she doesn't believe that Daryl has been fighting a chronic yeast infection for the past 4 years, and as doctors typically do, wants to research "reputable sources" for information on candida issues. Sadly, "reputable sources" hardly acknowledge the damage that candida infections do, and are really ineffective in offering treatment options. Shari, I hope you aren't in the same boat. All I can say is that if you do have a chronic yeast (candida) issue, allopathic doctors are going to be clueless and you will be on a medical merry go round until you start taking charge of this yourself and find you a doctor who understands effective candida treatment. Guest guest
Dear shari I think if I was you I would try real hard to hit the candida and also other organisms by using herbal measures such as oil of oregano or olive leaf extract. They also kill mycoplasma and virus etc but they will not add to your problems like other antibiotics would. It does sound like you have some immune activation also. Have you ever tried colostrum? ONe in partciular i think is very good. IT also has msm and cmo in it. These help with symptoms with joint and muscles etc. Colostrum is an immune modulator so I think it could be a good choice. I think like my dr said, when you get your immune system more under control, then your neck will improve some too. Take care kathy > Kathy > > thanks for the input. Guest guest
kathy thanks - I definately have a candida issue - I have been avoiding sugar and have been taking fungal defense, coconut oil, black walnut, and diflucan. I really need another deep tissue massage as it has been almost a year since my last one and they do really help. love shari
Guest guest
patty thanks for the info - I am still on the antibiotics due to the sinus and ear infections - not really sure what to do there. I am treating candida but I don't want to end up with another infection so bad it requires surgery - in one month was enough for me for a while. Its kind of a catch 22 - they cause candida which fuels the sinus infection but if I quit taking them??? who knows. my doc put me on biaxin for one month - i have one week left. I have debated ditching all of that crap and seeing if I can fight it out on my own but it is so hard being sick all the time and having a full time job and a 2 year old - i don't want to risk getting worse. thanks for your help! love shari
Guest guest
Mayo clinic says most sinus infections are from molds. Antibiotics actually make them worse over the long haul. Wish I had known that 30 years ago when they kept treating mine.
