Pam, I also keep a journal, and many times when this aweful illness was

driving me to despair I would spill my heart into it's pages.....a lot of it

is going into the book actually.

You are more than capable of writing something awesome, it is usually

people's self doubt and fear that keeps them from writing or

publishing...why not start with something short, like a leaflet or brochure,

like I am doing ? Put your e-mail address on there somewhere so you can get

feedback good and bad...you would be amazed what that does for your

confidence as a writer. Tackling an entire book is daunting, I started by

submitting short stories to magazines etc...some were accepted some

rejected, but I never gave up.

Everyone out there who has ever written a book, bestseller or otherwise, had

the very same uncertainties as you and I...but they pushed on....no-one just

woke up one day and wrote The Book, believe me. You, and every other woman

here, have something unique to offer the world, and it would be a shame to

deprive others of that.

I once wrote a book about horses that no-one would publish, I got so mad I

paid for publishing and the intial small printing myself....FF to 6 months

later and all those smarmy publishing reps were begging me to sell them the

rights as it was doing so well.

I never made a fortune out of it, but it's OK, people liked what I wrote,

were willing to pay for it, and followed up with messages that told of how

it had helped them with their horses. So don't stop writing, write about any

and everything that you have a passion for, be it implant survival or

anything else.

Hugs

Thanks for your encouraging words Fiona. I think I will start with a

leaflet - something small. Then I'll go from there.

Colleen that would be fabulous ! We need all the help we can get !

These leaflets need to be as eye-cathing but easy-to-read as possible, cuz if their brain fog is a thick as the mist in my head, it needs to be JUMBO size :)

You can let me know when you get all your info together and you can email it to me (just as text) and I'll make it pretty! Yes, I agree about the simple jumbo design. I have terrible brain fog too. Just let me know when you need me! Colleen

Fiona,

Good for you, wow, you go girl! I think many people have dreams of publishing a book, but they remain that.....just dreams. I am so glad you have the fortitude to do what you need to do, and inspire us to do the same. You are so right! I do have a dream to write a book--thanks for the words of encouragement.
