Guest guest
From my understanding, that statement is based on a flawed study done several decades ago. Most of the US is living in soil that is iodine depleted, anyway. Since every gland and mucosal lining in your body needs iodine, I think it would be really hard to overdose on the amounts of iodoral/lugol's that most people take. According to Dr. B, autoimmune thyroid disease can actually be caused by iodine deficiency. ----- Original Message ----- > > Also according to this statement: > " Excessive iodine intake can also increase the risk for other thyroid > diseases such as Hashimoto's, Graves', certain thyroid cancers, and > thyrotoxicosis (a dangerous condition due to an excessive amount of > thyroid hormones in the bloodstream). Guest guest
Hi , thanks for the reply. I didn't know that. It just didn't sound logical to me. Guest guest
I don't think anyone answered this so thought I would post again. Should iodine not be taken with antioxidants as mentioned below. Thanks. Guest guest
I asked Dr. Brownstein and he said there is no reason why you should avoid taking antioxidants with iodine. I take all my stuff with my iodine. As I also have lyme disease supplements are really very important to me. Thanks again. Guest guest
stephanie, do you take iodoral or lugols ? Did your question to Dr. Brownstein about taking with antioxidants refer to iodoral or lugols or both ? Would you ask him about the reduction reaction effect of taking vit c with lugols which converts the iodine back to iodide, and let us know ? thanks
Guest guest
I take Iodoral and it was in reference to that. I have asked him about the Vit C and he responded but I would have to look where i put that info because I don't want to bug him again. Guest guest
I am in chaos right now. I took time off from my house to catch up on my school work and write my paper. Then the kids were finishing school and had sports and OH MY! Now I am cleaning out my house to have a garage sale. LOL! Life got the best of me. Plus all the research Dr. B & I have been doing on iodine and thyroid is piling up. I have over 30 documents to read. Guest guest
No tears here. Doesn't do any good. I had to learn to be more laid back as time went on and the kids came. LOL! God sustains me. Back to my garage sale hunt. We are taking the kids to Disneyland (CA) in July so I am hoping that this sale will drum up some spending money.
