Guest guest
Debbie: I'm not sure I understand what you meant. Wonder if you need antibiotics; do you mean the long term IV treatments some of the girs get, such as Kathy really is strong for it. You didn't mean for the sinusitis did you? I don't want to say something misunderstanding you, but will for confirmaiton sake. You know Biaxin is a very strong antibiotic right? And a good one too. Let me know. I have no money to pay out of pocket, I'm on welfare, still disabled. I live around Pgh, PA though. who do you know? Let the others in on it. I don't turn down info. I file it into folders. Even if I cxan't afford everything now, I don't get discouraged because I keep getting better and I will work again and can really get natural! I can refer to you a superior one I know well. I even had to have a sinus operation almost immediately after implants. I've been on an antihistamen ever since, but currently only as needed. I had my first bout of severe bronchial asthma at that time, and have had a few severe episodes since. I don't have any food allergies but react extremely to mold and can get an instant asthma attack. I rarely have to use my inhaller, almost never, but its an underlying condition with me. In the winter, my father burned a fire and I got such a severe bronchial asthma within 3 days I was near pneumonia. In addition, I meantioned multi-chemical sensitivity disorder. My mother has this to the severist degree and also had silicone implants and a rupture. However, she is quit a naturpath and has no other symptoms like we do here on the website, so I think hers has multi-factors. Although I do think there is a sinusitis component to the illness. My PCP said asthma falls into the category of immune breakdwon disorders. In addition, when you have asthma, and catch a cold, or have a chronic sinusitis infection, you have a condition that expotentially progresses faster than the normal person. That's why, when I catch a cold I almost always get a sinus infection. What to do? Sounds like I can learn from you I can sympathize with you're delema. You may need an ENT, an Ear nose and throat specialist. they understand these things better. Of course they don't condon it here but I had a shot usually each fall which kept me rom developing so many sinus infections and really made a major impact in my life. I also had the surgery, prior to that I could not live pain free. The Dr. said the only thing he could really offer me was the operation, being a brilliant dr. I was in good hands and responded remarkably. For me today, I do these things; Stay away from people with colds as much as possible, use vansenase or flonase (once in a while, in acute times definately) except it is a steroid for hte nose and they don't condone here but I think they help. I only use during acute times. I currently take, AMITEX PSE 120-600 TAB AMID FOR ENTEX PSE. This medication not only has the antihestamine, but a decongestant. You have to know how your system is functioning, my sinus Dr. made it very clear to me. If you have a runny nose claritin is good for drying up the sinuses. However, if you're like me, I have pressure, so claritin aggrevates my condition. I need the decongestant. they don't like to prescribe the decongestant fro some reason like it could increase heart palpatations. I think these drs. just don't get it sometimes. Thats why my ENT took much better care of me. I followed with him for over 10 yrs. I have now moved away. I'll take on the average maybe two pills per week. I don't live on them anymore. It used to be a daily thing, every morning without side effects. I would like to learn the more homepathic ways to deal with the sinus pressure. As I said, it sounds like I can learn from you. Have you been on the Z-pack. I also responded to two in a row of those with like 7 days in between. that's what my ENT put me on. It did not give me a yeast infection. I know Biaxin is a powerful one too, and will definately nock it out, but 30 days wow, but she's not messin' around is she? Is that biaxin 500mg twice per day? Better than sulfur antibiotics that I've had to take when I couldn't shake a Urinary Track Infection. Seems like the girls here say Antibiotic therapy has helped them because of the bacteria in the implants. I know my Mom being the naturpath she is always revolved to all the antibiotics I was on. Honey, alls I did was try to share a little empathetic concern for you having had similar experience. God Bless, , let me know how you do.halvey70@... wrote: thanks - yes I have been doing th esalt water rinse for several months twice a day. I went to my primary today to discuss an antifungal and she looked at me like I was crazy - she said that since the sinus cultures from the surgery didn't show fungas then she couldn't prescribe anything. She also wants me to take a full month round of biaxin antibiotic to try to cure the sinus problem. I really don't know what to do - if I take them then the candida gets worse but maybe they will help. she said that she thinks I am immune to the other antibiotics that I have been taking and weanted to change me to this one. She also wants me to continue the steriods but gave me a 3 dose round of diflucan for the yeast. Maybe I should try it her way. I am so confused. I have been taking the fungal defense and am going to be ordering coconut oil today so I guess I can keep those up w/ the garlic too (I have been cooking lately w/ a TON of it - my hubby loves it so he is happy)and maybe it will all workout. I have also been following the low carb-no sugar diet all week. Oh yeah -Now I also have a double ear infection to boot she says- probably stemming from the sinus issues. I just can't catch a break, huh? Good thing I am not a horse.thanksshari
