Guest guest
What is nascent iodine? I found it here: http://www.magneticclay.com/store/Departments/Nascent-Iodine.aspx It seems more expensive than lugols, is it the same just a higher price? does it do something different? Is Lugols better? Also does anyone know what the difference is with lugols in pill form or liquid, I get the 5\10% liquid. Thanks Elaine
Guest guest
Hi Elaine Nascent iodine is iodine in a slightly different state than we are used to discussing here, as we refer to iodide and iodine. It would go through a simple chemical analysis as iodine, or a tincture of iodine. Usually only 1 % iodine, but the nascent state breaks the molecular state into iodine atoms, but not as ions, as atoms. It is very different once inside the body and very active. Some of this nascent iodine was provided to an expert from the curezone iodine forum. His comments were: hi john, just got your package a few minutes ago. put 40 drops in a glass of water and drank it. this is only 8 mgs of iodine yet it just hit me like a couple of hundred mgs from lugols. this is going to be interesting. I would not recommend this type of experimenting since it is so very active in the body. Most using it only start at 5 drops although they may use it several times during the day, on an empty stomach and diluted in water. Each drop is only 0.2 mg of iodine but in the nascent state. We believe it is active in this nascent state for 2 to 3 hours, based on information from the 1930's when a somewhat similar product was in use. Much of this information about nascent iodine comes from work by Edgar Cayce and Sunkar A Bisey, the great Indian Inventor. Hope that this gives some information that is useful. --- NWEagle <nweagle@...> wrote: > What is nascent iodine? Guest guest
This may be what the EnerG-Iodine is and also perhaps the Atomodine, which I remember correctly was supposed to be formulated after Edgar Cayce's instructions but it's not being done properly. The EnerG-Iodine that I take was used by it's maker to delete malaria in 48 hours using 10 drops every 2 hours. Interesting stuff! I spoke with the person who makes it in reference to my blood pressure going sky high and she said it's not the iodine... look at your other supplements. I hadn't noticed that 2 of my herbal formulas included ginseng and licorce root in each. They are both adrenal stimulants which I do not need as my adrenal is always sky high on the Voice Print anyway. So I stopped all, including the iodine and my pressure is back down to 167/98 which is not good but where it was before. I have started a protocol to deal with it which I am usually too busy for! Guest guest
Hi, Dr. Flechas told me recently that iodine does not make your blood pressure go up, even at 100 mg per day. I had asked him about my DH's high blood pressure. So it's not the iodine that is making the blood pressure go up. Guest guest
High levels of iodine can be stress on the adrenals though which iodine does do. We have seen adrenal stress with increased doses of iodine. Guest guest
Which leads one to ask, why? I heard back from the maker of EnerG-Iodine and she says its not the iodine. Guest guest
Increased metabolic rate. Also detoxing can cause a stress on the adrenals and Iodine detoxes the halides. Guest guest
I do think the iodine is having an effect on my adrenals, and with the licorice and ginseng I wasn't really paying attention to in my formula it thru me for a loop. I do think that the adrenals have been taking over for the thyroid for so many years that when you give the iodine and the thyroid starts working properly the adrenals need time to adjust perhaps. BP is still going up and down but I'm seeing improvements however slow. I have to start juice fasting again but it's been so busy here! Time is feeling so compressed for me but I hear others saying it too so maybe it's not my imagination. Guest guest
Licorice can be an issue for some with blood pressure. I couldn't handle it. I felt like I was racing. Guest guest
Hi Just a question on the EnerG-Iodine, how many drops and how many times a day do you take it? Also do you take it on an empty stomach and diluted in water? Thanks --- VoicePrints <VoicePrints@...> wrote: > I do think the iodine is having an effect on my > adrenals, and with the > licorice and ginseng I wasn't really paying > attention to in my formula it > thru me for a loop. Guest guest
Yes on an empty stomach in the morning... generally 3 drops to start gives a boost to the energy which then seems to wear off ... at that point I will take 5 to 10 drops. I took it once at 5 pm... not so good! Kept me awake all nite. This is the concentrated form which we can no longer make due to the new laws requiring only the regular strength is permissible to make and with licenses that cost many thousands to obtain. Kae is working with Cedar Bear Naturals to make the product because they have the licenses. There may be an article on it at the voice bio web site. www.voicebio.com Cheryl Re: what is Nascent Iodine?> > > >> > Hi, Dr. Flechas told me recently that iodine> does not make your > blood> > pressure go up, even at 100 mg per day. Guest guest
It gave me some edema in my legs when I took it, even a small amount. It did go away when I stopped taking it. ~ > >> > >> This may be what the EnerG-Iodine is and also perhaps the > > Atomodine, which I > >> remember correctly was supposed to be formulated after Edgar > > Cayce's > >> instructions but it's not being done properly. Guest guest
Hi , What are the current views on why iodine causes stress on the adrenals? I have heard it is due to detoxing, or extra thyroid activity, but I've never seen any research on this or heard a good explanation.
