Guest guest
The vertical scar should fade in about a year to being only barely visible. The one underneath the breast can be hidden if you have enough breast tissue that it hangs over the scar. Some women are very lucky that way! Mine is right there, with enough tissue to just barely cover it. When I lift my arms at all, it shows. My plastic surgeon recommended Mederma to put on the scar to help it heal and fade faster. http://www.mederma.com/ At the time I had a small sample he gave me, and when I ran out, I didn't buy more. I probably should have, but I was not very good about remembering to put it on religiously. I think did, and her scars are almost invisible. Mederma was very expensive at that time...one more reason I didn't buy it. When I was going through my implant hell, we were just in the process of starting a new business. My husband had quit his job and moved 400 miles away, we had 4 kids, and we had no income at all except the piddly wages I brought home as a waitress. My husband slept on the floor of our new business location for 9 months, while I tried to sell our house. It was probably the worst time in our lives that I could have gone through what I did. When I look back on it all, I can only shake my head in disbelief that I've come through it. Anyway, (gee, how did I get on that roll?) try the Mederma, as I think it will be your best bet to help fade scars. Apparently, from what the website says, it can even be used on old scars, so I guess it is never too late. Maybe I will try some now that I can finally afford it! I was already sagging with a lot of breast tissue before the implants. Thanks for sharing the information, I am most worried about the vertical scar. Is the one on the bottom visible or is it basically hidden unless you look underneath? Are you putting anything or have you put anything on it to help? Thanks as always,Ann
