Guest guest
Many women have a lift and are very happy. Nothing is more important than your health, and all implants can have a dramatic impact on your health. It may take a year (or less) or it may take 10 years. There really is no way to know. Please research this carefully so your decision is informed. There is a lot more information that what was given to you by your plastic surgeon. Lynda At 08:30 PM 3/5/2004, you wrote: >Hello ladies. Guest guest
Hey Stacie, I wish I would have gone with just a lift. I had always wanted implants, though, so I never really considered just doing a lift before implants. I had a lift with my explant, and I am really glad I did. I would have hated going back to my old saggy boobs after all I went through. The only thing I would have done different is really research the different lift techniques, and gone with someone who could do a lollipop lift, which leaves minimal scarring. I ended up with an anchor lift and so I have more scars than I care for, and I also have numbness in some parts of my breasts. I don't know if the numbness is from the implantation or the lift, but I think it was numb even when I had the implants, but in any case, the numbness really saddens me. I also have lessened sensations in my nipple area, and that saddens me probably more than anything. I just don't get the pleasure that I used to there, and I suppose if I had to do it all over again knowing this is how I would end up, I would have just left everything alone. Hindsight is always better, right? In view of the fact that I went through what I did, I guess I feel lucky with what I've got. It's a hard decision. I don't know if I've helped you, but that's my experience. I stumbled upon this site a few months back. I was originally scheduled for a BA in September, but for financial reasons had to put it off until April - in the meantime found a new PS which I love. He was completely honest with me and was the first PS to say he will not use silicone, as he believes that they do cause problems and autoimmune diseases.Anyway, so I'm scheduled for the BA and small lift on April 5th. I don't want to be huge, just want to be perky. I'm starting to think that I might just go with a lift and skip the implants. I'm 30 years old, married with 2 small kids. I realize how valuable my health is and I'm not sure I want to jeopardize it.Sorry, I'm rambling. I've just got a headache over this. I'm not really emotionally prepared to deal with the "cosmetic" complications of a BA either (bottoming out, CC, etc.). I just don't want to spend the rest of my life obsessing about my boobs -"is this one higher? this one feels harder?!" "am I leaking" etc. etc. etc.Has anyone got just a lift and been happy with the outcome? I know that I am the only one that can make this decision for myself. Just feels better getting this off my chest (HAHA! no pun intended honestly). I guess I'm wondering if some of you would be willing to share your stories with me. I'm so use to hearing just good stuff about BA's, I'm ready to hear the good, bad and the ugly now. Thanks ladies - Stacie
Guest guest
Thank you for your replies. I am still new to the so I'm not even sure if I am replying to the right people or to everyone who responded. I'm still giving it some thought, weighing all the pros and cons and my options. Thanks again. > >Hello ladies. I stumbled upon this site a few months back. Guest guest
Stacie, I had my implants out in December. I got a lift then too and I'm very happy with what I have left. I think I had the breast tissue all along but because I was so saggy from breastfeeding that I had a hard time filling out a bra. I wore an A before I got the implants. Now I'm a B and a pretty perky little B at that! If I had known then what I know now, I definitely would have had just a lift. I do have numbness though - a lot. Both nipples have no feeling in them right now. The same thing happened when I got the implants and eventually the feeling came back. I'm hoping that will happen this time too, but there's no guarantees. You can look at my pictures, they're posted in the Photos section. I'm a little smaller than the " after " pictures - they were taken 2 days after explant when I was a little swollen. I hope this helps. Pam , " sfuller222 " <sfuller222@y...> wrote: > Hello ladies.
