What do you mean exactly by half life. Are you talking about iodine in

water. Or time to evaporate?

I wondered the same thing since half life refers to things that decay - radioactive materials more specifically.

I'm not zoe but:

The duration of action of a drug is known as its half life. This is

the period of time required for the concentration or amount of drug

in the body to be reduced by one-half. We usually consider the half

life of a drug in relation to the amount of the drug in plasma. A

drug's plasma half-life depends on how quickly the drug is eliminated

from the plasma.

Half life is referring to the amount of time it takes 50% of the initial concentration to be excreted from the body. It is referring to what happens after you consume it.

It's a basic physiologic parameter for drugs. If you look on the label of all approved drugs you will find this data. It falls under the category of "pharmacokinetic" data.

So, it seems to me like taking 3 small doses every day might be better

than 1 larger dose, once a day.
