Guest guest
I know that Avon used to make some kind of foot soothing lotion that helped burning feet, but i cant remember what it was. I think it was part of their foot works collection.
Guest guest
I am not familiar with isosorbide spray either. But along the lines of Gretchen's icing her feet, I found a product which has been a godsend for me as far as sleeping at night with the burning. I bought them from Footsmart (www.footsmart.com)for around $30/pair. They're called " Foot Soother " . I just keep them in the refrigerator until I need them, which is usually 4 hours or so after I've gone to bed, when the burning wakes me up. They are gel pads shaped like a footprint, with velcro straps to hold them on your feet like a sandal. They are very slick on the bottom, so DON'T try walking in them, but I am able to sleep with my feet under the covers with them on (my shoulders love blankets on). I've even slept all night thru, and then woke up with them still on my feet, just like when I first put them on! And the sheets were not wet with condensation or melted ice! (of course, the pads were not cold anymore, but it was time to get up anyway) In the morning I take them off and put them back in the refrigerator. I waited a while to get them, thinking $30 was kind of expensive for such a simple thing, but I am so happy with them. I even waited a month to say anything to the group, to see if I would have any problems with them. I highly recommend them to anyone with the burning and that " sick feeling " it causes. Also, they can be heated for cold feet--in a pot of hot(but not boiling) water--but NOT in the microwave. I haven't needed to try them for warming my feet. Hope this info can help some of you. I am too lazy to fill ice bags, and then to deal with the wetness ice causes--too many surgeries in my past where this was a requirement post-op! Have a good weekend everyone! Joyce S.
