Guest guest
Hi there Just a reminder of my bloods bloods as 1/2/2008 tsh 6.99 0.300-5.000 ft3 4.8 3.0-6.1 ft4 17.8 10.0-24.0 cortisol 279 am 139 690 ferritin 61.8 10.0 150.0 Now I saw the doc and because my T3 was within normal range he sees no point in prescribing T3/T4 combo despite the fact that many studies show it beneficial for my problems. He thinks my problems are multi and is sure I should not put all my hopes on it being thyroid, however from what I have read on this forum and in other sources I am sure it is thyroid. At the mo I am very hypo, hoarse voice, low morning temp, fatigue, cold extremities, cold in general, thinning left portion of left eyebrow. However he also was honest and said he did not have the expertise to presctibe it and said he thought I should take 200 mcg Levothyroxine. Now I don't know whether to do that or order myself some Armour in advance of my adrenal tests (I ordered the tests last week and they have not arrived yet). He asked if I wanted to see any endo in particular so my question for EVERYONE is do you know an endo that will prescribe combo or Armour and consider Adrenals in and between Leeds and the East coast to Whitby or around Middlesborough Teeside area? I really need a good one to get this sorted. So anyone that has an endo in these areas that could help I can get a referral to any my doc says. I would be very appreciative of help. You can send me a message and I will email you? so in short a. Do I take 200mcg T4? b. Do I order Armour and start that instead? C. Do I take extra T4 until I see an endo? d. Do I remain hypo until I see an endo? e. Anyone know a useful endo between Leeds and East Coast inc. North East Yorkshire and Teeside? Doc also said my ferritin was fine, but I have still started taking an extra iron pill a day but it is difficult to fit it in without stopping absorbtion of the thyroid hormone. I intend to start supplementing my cortisol by using hydrocortisone ezcema cream after my adrenal test because I failed the raglan test. My pupils work very hard to stay constricted in light but flicker open and shut. Ok lots of help needed here and advise and I await it with anticipation before I move on to next stage of my journey to hopeful health.
