i am located in western kentucky, about fourteen hours from tampa, but eventually i feel this journey will take me up, down, far, and wide. i wrote his name down and will research. thanks. my dilemma is that i would feel moe comfortable believing this if there were people with my primary problem at the moment which is an autoimmune skin disorder which they can't definately pinpoint a name to-possibly erythema multiforme, linear iga bullous disease, or maybe pemphigus and i just haven't heard that much about that kind of stuff, have you? thanks-lisahalvey70@... wrote:

What state are you located in? There are seeral docs in my area that are believers - I am near Tampa. One has actually wrote a book - his name is Dr. Vasey. That is about the closest you are gonna get to a doctor that knows, tells, and believes the truth. Let me tell you about my first visit w/ him back in early January: I was explanted last April - (7 years textured salines). I got the explant after seeinga pain mgt specialist about my chronic neck and head pain. He is the one who mentioned that there ay be a link to my implants causing the fibromyalgia - I had no clue up until then. found our group and read all the stories which were very similar to mine so I freaked and had them removed a few months later. Dr Vasey came highly recommended by my pain doc for the fibromyalgia so I made an appt - took 8 months to get in as he is so busy. When I went in in January I

had never met him nor had he seen any of my medical records as they were with me. Before I showed him my files he looked at my arms and felt my neck and shoulder area and said that I must have implants - then told him that I did but had them removed already. He then proceeded to start telling me a series of events that must have happened that led me to explant - still had never seen my records. He was right on the money - kind of freaked me out. I started w/ a lot of headaches shortly after an implant replacement in 99 due to a rupture. Shortly after this started w/ neck pain all the problems- I won't bore you with them as they are posted in the files section under "shari's story". He listed the series of problems htat i had and the order of events almost perfectly - before I said a word about them. You see - there is proof - there are doctors out there. He has seen so many women like us he knew what was wrong with me before I said a word. We are all alike with varying

intensity but most have had all of the same symptoms at one time or another. there is no better proof than that. I hope this helps - as I have posted in the past - he wrote a letter to my primary telling of the problems I was facing due to the implants so they would believe me. I think some of the other girls have requested a copy of this letter so they could see it in writing too, but I tried to scan it and somehow screwed it up. I will try again of maybe I can fax or mail a copy if it will help w/ anyone wanting to see proof that a doctor is on our side. Just let me know if I can help w/ anything!!thanksshari

There are some skin disorders linked to it because when I saw dr Vasey, the

forst thing he did was look at my forearms - he immediately said that I had a

slight case of Livedo Reticularis

(spelling?) which is very common according to him among implant victims - look

the disorder up on the web and you will find sites with pictures - mine is the

milder case with spiderweb like red/purpleish markings all over me - especially

my arms, legs, and chest/neck area. Some of the pics I found on this disease

when I looked it up to see what the heck it was showed some severe cases which

sound kind of like what you are explaining. you may want to check into it - it

must be common as it was the first thing he checked for. I think it is a

autoimmune reaction to the silicone in the shells. if you are interested in

coming down here let me know - I would be happy to help if I can.

thanks

shari

Hey! I used to have like this purple red lacy like discolaration on the back of my arms and , chest and upper legs. Thought it was poor circulation. Everyone would ask me ifI was cold. It looked like I was slapped. Or cold. I looked up all this info on it, and couldnt figure out what is was. You can see a little of it on my chest area with the implants in the pics on this site. Now , only a little on the backs of my arms, and no more on the cheat area or legs. Get out of here!Could you send a site with pics of this?

Are your implants out? I recommend Dr. Huang of Denver as one of the very

best and at the best price.

Send your zip code, I may have some contacts in KY or OH that would have a

rheumy for you.

I think all the available space on the home webpage description section has been used up...if you can suggest what to delete, we can tweak the list...eliminate something to make room for what you would like to add. I'll take suggestions!
