Guest guest
Hi Deb, Your comments are appreciated, and I would love to say more, but let me just say I agree with you. This whole subject has been quite controversial in the past on Saline Support, with the end result being that I had to request all discussions of Dr. Kolb be taken private due to a threat of lawsuit. I am just thankful that we do have plastic surgeons who understand that implants are making us ill, and are willing to listen to us rather than blow us off and tell us it is all in our heads. I know that there is alot of pressure for these plastic surgeons who take our side--they are treated as paraiahs and outcasts by the larger plastic surgery societies. It is extremely hard on them mentally and emotionally. They really are sticking their necks out for us, and truthfully, this is where the real heroes for us show themselves. Many others, (like my plastic surgeon), take the easy road, cave in, and go along with the crowd, even though the crowd may be totally wrong and they know it. It is much easier for them to take the money and run, quoting their peer review studies about no connection between implants and illness. I have respect for those plastic surgeons who live by the truth, and stand by their oath to do no harm, knowing that doing so may cause them to lose esteem from their peers. It is a tough world, and I only wish them God's blessings in their profession. I think they are helping women and have done great deeds. I think for many women they are huge blessings. I just questioned how could somebody that agrees the silicone is making women sick then turn around and put that right back in another body. To me that is contradictory for what they believe in. Maybe I do not have all the information. That is why I'm not here to judge nor make accusations.I'm only questioning what is the validation of that? I think we must all believe in something. I just question it.I'm certainly not perfect. I never will be. I do not want to judge anyone. Maybe I would undestand better if I spoke with them personally. There is never just one side to any story, that is why I am open to learn. I just wonder sometimes because it does give a conflicting message, but then there are always cercumstances that need to be considered. For some women that have had mastectomies and such this may be what they need. For that I can totally understand having implants or whatever. All us ladies have certain needs. I am not taking sides. I'm not judging. I'm just trying to reason in my thoughts the purpose. I think its good to question. This is how we learn and gain knowledge. If we don't ask how will we ever know.My intentions are just questioning to understand. I think its wonderful for the ladies who have gone to them and got exactly what they needed. I think its wonderful for the ladies who found them originally to help share what they did for them. I see the intentions here are all to help. That is why I continue to support this site. I genuinely believe women here are helping with their whole heart.I still believe we have to question things at some point,Deb
Guest guest
Guys, do any of you know whether Dr's have ever tried grafting body fat from elsewhere to the breasts like they do with the latest " J-Lo booty " fad of enhancing buttocks ? If it's true that 60% fat gets re-absorbed, I wonder if those ladies are getting told this after paying $14000 ? Guest guest
Fiona, I do believe that has already been tried, and the fat just disperses again. The women just end up the same size as before, but several thousand dollars poorer! I've seen this on TV a long time ago. I am sure that if it worked, we would be seeing it happening all over the place...I'd be one of the first in line (I think). What eutopia! We could get rid of the flat blobs where we don't want them and put them in our boobs where we do! Now, that is just definitely too good to be true! Unfortunately, it is.
