I have had to urinate more when I increased my dose. Are you drinking

enough water. Make sure you are helping your kidneys out with enough water

to flush them. If you want to know if it is related try cutting back to

1/2 a tablet again. It's hard to say if it is iodine or not.

I just think it's not enough Iodoral.

Gigi-

What I see here when I read your symptoms is that the detox from iodine might be stressing your adrenals, hence the peeing more at night. The strain on the adrenals can effect fluid balance. When my aldosterone and cortisol become too low I pee a lot at night. If this were to be what it is I highly recommend drinking not only more fluids, but fluids high in potassium, magnesium and sea salt. It will help replenish. When this happens to me I keep V8 juice and water on the nightstand, plus I add liquid mag chloride. It makes a huge difference.

Hi,Just started taking Iodoral. I have hypothyroidism and secondary adrenal insufficiency.I started slowly with only a half of a 12.5 tablet per day and then a few days ago went to one tablet per day. What I've noticed is that I have to urinate more at night adn also felt abdominal cramping/pain....I think it was intestinal but seems to have past in a day and now I have some pain in the kidney area.Does this sound like detox symptoms form bromide? I am using sea salt once per day and upped my vitamin C to around 2000 per day.Wondering also if upping my vitamin C could be bothering my kidneys or if it's related to my adrenal insufficiency.I take HC at 30mg per day and 3.75 graind of armour. Thanks for any input.Gigi

I looked at what you are taking for meds--low adrenals and low thyroid (like me. I take 20mg cortef and 240mg Armour). then I thought one tab of Iodoral would not really be enough to get things moving (like toxins, detox). I didn't feel very good on less than 50mg per day.

I have increased my zinc, copper, mag chloride and am feeling pretty good!

Hi There,

Thanks for the info. What is a good amount of copper to take and

from what source?

I am starting off very slow to avoid any drastic detox due to my

extreme and long term adverse reaction to a fluoroquinolone

antibiotic (Avelox). It has adversely affected my central nervous

system. So many of my symptoms are extreme detox type symptoms for

16 months now.

So, I am a bit apprehensive to add to the mix so that's why I'm

starting off really low with the iodoral. I'd like to be able to up

it a bit by summer.

Did you have problems with low body temp even with the HC and Armour

and did iodine help?

Did you have to lower your thyroid meds after starting iodine? Also,

did you need more HC while starting out due to extra stress on the

adrenals from detox?

Thanks bunches,

Gigi
