Guest guest
definitely- I want to get back on the wagon with you. I had my band replaced in October and it is not the same strength. Now it's up to me. Joan From: moonshadow.sandy@... Date: Fri, 7 Jan 2011 21:43:10 +0000 Subject: Re: Update on me and Happy New Year - " back together club " Good luck to all of us ! Guest guest
Hi, Joan - welcome to the " Club " . :-) Not sure what you mean, though, about the " band not being the same strength. " All bands work exactly the same, and take different fill amounts individual to YOU, to work well. No band is any " weaker " or " stronger " than any others. What did your doc tell you that led you to believe this? All bands are equally as effective with a good fill - and actually, the newer bands are much SAFER and less likely to have slips or erosions. Guest guest
I am in! I got my band in March of 2009 and I lost 25-30lbs and have just yo-yoed about 10 of those lbs for the past year and-a-half. I am still at least 40 lbs from my goal. I need to get back on the wagon.... :)Ali 228/203/160 On Jan 8, 2011, at 11:06 AM, Joan Falknor wrote: > > definitely- I want to get back on the wagon with you. Guest guest
Yes, sign me up! I was horrified to realize that I've put almost 30 lbs back on just over the last six months or so... lots of stress-eating recently! I've got my food under control again, cut soda out of my diet (I've been drinking Coke like a fish lately after not drinking any for over a year), and am getting back on the fitness wagon when we bring the treadmill inside tomorrow. Feeling better, lighter, happier after just a week on plan! Eating my own home-cooked meals made of real FOOD is so much better in every way than continuing with the processed junk we've been eating. It's so hard to pull yourself out of the sugar fog, some motivation is very much needed! Thanks, Sandy! h > > > > Sandy -- what a horrible story. Guest guest
Exercise is tough foir many of us. But we just HAVE to set aside time to do it - and time to take care of ourselves. small things add up, too - take the stairs, not the escalator. Park further away from work or store, walk whenever possible. Use a treadmill or elliptical when watching TV in the evening, etc. See the " exercise " document here for more ideas and info..
