I wouldn't give her Iodoral but would probably apply lugol's topically. You can also put lugol's in her water.

Iodine and Small Dog-Mammary Tumor

Hello:

I am in urgent need of an answer. My 15 yr old female Maltese dog has a medium sized mammary tumor. She is to old for an operation-chemo, etc. She has been on a brown rice, vegetable and chicken diet since day 1.

Can I give her Iodoral, she is about 11 pounds, how much?

Thank you,

Helena

Val,

Wondering what a mammary tumor and Iodine has to do with thyroid? Am I being blonde, or am I just stupid?

Have you had this dog's thyroid checked? MANY dogs have hypothyroidism,

and if their thyroid needs are any example (my 20# schnauzer takes 7

grains Armour a day) possibly their iodine needs are much higher than

ours as well.

Thyroid hormones are MADE of IODINE. If she si hypothyroid, she is

either loew in iodine or cannot utilize it properly as in autoimmune

thyroid disease. Look up Alfred Plechner on Google. He has cured cancers

wiht thyroid and cortisol treatment. Thyroid is very much involved with

cancers as it is one of the main ways the body utilizes iodine. BTW in

animals, hypo is almost always autoimmune, just like Hashimoto's in people.

Yes and according to this article, they are more toxic than humans

from brominated flame retardants and perfluorinated chemicals
