I finally got to see The Passion of the Christ Sunday after church, and as I wrote before, I have never been so excited to see a movie in my entire life. I know Iggy and Pam have already written about their experiences and I won't go into alot of detail about mine, but I do want to say that what I saw moved me deeply. It was a religious experience that brought me to tears, made me turn my head in horror, and ultimately left me drained for the remainder of the day as I tried to "decompress". I know others experienced this type of emotion as well, as the only sounds in the theatre after the movie ended were sobs in the stillness of the room. My husband couldn't speak for fear of unleashing his emotions.

It was hard to focus on anything else but the Gospels of Christ for the remainder of the day. It was hard to think about eating or being around alot of people. It just was that powerful for me. Perhaps others don't share my view, but I just needed to be alone with my thoughts, with my God.

Since then, I've purchased the soundtrack to this movie and I must have played the CD a dozen times or more. The music is haunting, but also soothing.... I don't know what else to say, except that I am hopelessly drawn to it.

What a powerful movie.

Patty, I couldn't agree with you more. Our Christian music radio

station played nothing except the soundtrack from the movie for 3

days. Every time I heard it I saw Him. I still feel so unworthy of

what He did for me. My daughter went to see it with her boyfriend.

He is mad at God because of the death of his best friend 2 years

ago. He doesn't understand what Christ went through and why, but my

daughter does. She was so moved by the movie and her boyfriend's

reaction was not what she expected. She broke up with him and told

me that any man she gets serious with will have to share her belief

because it's such a big part of her. I was really glad to hear

that. The movie is the best witnessing tool there has ever been. I

can explain what happened and why to anyone because I'm explaining

the movie. I hope Mel Gibson makes more movies that tell the rest of

the story.
