Guest guest
I want to thank you (I think it was Debbie, if not, you know who you are!) for saying that my HORRIBLE rash on both breasts could be yeast. Because of that advice, I took a Diflucan and it started clearing up the next day. I also got the Nystatin and things are looking good. I was very concerned because I was not able to go through with explant on March the 8th if it did not clear up. I have had this off and on for 1 1/2 years! Everyone here is a big help. Thanks again! And on a side note: I talked to my very well respected rheumatologist who said it was a GOOD IDEA to get my implants out. He said, " 1/3 of the women get better, 1/3 stay the same, and 1/3 get worse (who were going to get worse anyway) " Of course, this was after he said that the implants were not making me sick, because they were not silicone. He did say that the trauma of implant surgery can be a trigger, but my surgery was too long ago to be the trigger. He thinks it was physical trauma from a car accident. These docs don't always make sense, but I was surprised to hear that he thought it was a good idea! Anyway, the are coming out regardless of whether they are making me sick. I cannot believe I even put them in in the first place. What was I thinking??? Ann
Guest guest
Ann, yes it was me that suggested the nystatin. I'm so glad it helped. Nothing like relief from an itching rash! Its painful. When are you getting explanted? I know you were waiting to get your skin cleared up. I hope you get them out soon! I'm sorry you've had to wait so long. So, what is your Doc saying that triggered the autoimmune reaction? It sounds like he said several things. I'm not sure which one he was emphasing the most?
