The opening night is sold out here. (Can you believe it? In Vegas?) My family is going with a few friends on Sunday afternoon right after church. We already pre-bought our tickets, and you can be sure I am going to have hankies ready for everybody! We saw previews at my church this past Sunday, and it was incredible--just the previews alone were haunting! It looked so well done, so perfect..as if God's hand directed it Himself. Mel Gibson is an incredible man for stepping out in faith the way he has. I know God is going to honor his faith, and that through this, Jesus Christ will be glorified. It is fitting for that to be so! I heard that while they were filming this, all kinds of people came to Christ, and healings even occurred in the film crew and extras! I can't imagine what it would have been like to be a part of it. I also heard that the man who played Jesus was told, along with Mel Gibson, that making this movie would be suicide for both of them where their careers were concerned. The man who plays Jesus said that if he was going to go down on a ship, this one was the one he wanted to go down on. Amen! I hope that all of us girls (and men) on this group will make the effort to go to this movie and invite a friend to share this experience. I know it will be life changing. I have not been this excited about a movie in my entire life!
