I didn't have drains

I didn't have drains. No fluid accumalating. Everythings is fine so far like I said, except my sutures are itching and they are poking me kind of. I wonder? I'll call tomorrow & find out. Surely they would have said something or when he saw me taken them out. He looked at them, then applied ointment then changed the dressing.

Deb, they were kinda gross for about 2 weeks until they took them out. I made sure to spray them with collaidol silver for infection, and they were pretty red and inflammed. Once the stitches were taken out, they healed up nicely with Vitamin E and that cream, I forgot the name... oh merderma. There was a lot of thread, and makes sense so much as they took a lot of tissue out. So that does make sense. But I have healed great, and its been over a year, they look like fine cat scratches now. No red or pink color. Just skin toned little lines. Do you know that the drain holes were nastier, and took longer with the bright red color to fade down , than the incisions. Yuck! How are those?

your incisions did they take long to heal? I should have asked my ps about it. I'm healing okay, but I can feel the stitches poking some sub mammary. Duh you would think I would know better being medical and all. Just wondered how yours was. I just assumed they were self dissolve, I never asked. The implant incision I can't recall it was so long ago, but I think I could never feel the stitches. Maybe he used more thread this time since he cut tissue out?

Hey girls,happy valentine's day to all of you!I have good news. I was explanted on monday. I went back to work today. No heavy lifting ofcourse. I'm feeling so much better already. like, well you have a long road ahead of you with this serious face. Like I was supposed to be upset they were out. Who was he kidding? Certainly not me.I got my patho report that my doc did. I had no infection, abnormal bacteria nor silicone in my sample from the capsulectomy.I sent my implants yesterday to Dr. Blais for testing. We'll see what he finds.I love my new breast!(because they're me)Encouragement to all the ladies who are wanting their implants out and are afraid to do it. You'll be so happy when you get them out!
