question to anyone

i know this may sound like such an abstract question, but i was just

wondering if i will ever find proof that my implants are the cause

of my illnesses or is it going to be kind of like beleiving in

god. he is not something you can see in the physical realm, you

just have to believe and you don't question your belief because you

know it and you feel it in your heart. thanks for all youv'e done

for me already-i reaaly appreciate all the comeents and support.

There are hundreds of thousands of us with symptoms that we recognize as

being from implants and silicone. We are the proof. To get all docs to

recognize that, well, that would take a miracle.

Getting proof of your implants causing your illness probably depends on who you go to. There are some doctors who will be able to tell you that your implants are causing your illness (and these are the ones who have taken the time to study the issue, study the women, and make appropriate conclusions), but these doctors are a rare breed--we know of only a handful. 99% of the time all the other doctors are going to tell you implants have nothing to do with it. You have to decide who to believe.

As Lynda pointed out, we are the proof. There are hundreds and thousands of us women who have become ill from our implants. We all have the same type of symptoms, chronic fatigue, same tendency toward autoimmune diseases of varying manifestations, and the proof lies in the fact that our abnormal blood work returns to normal, symptoms dissipate, health returns over time (much time!), and we can get some semblance of a normal life back when implants are removed.

For almost all of us, that did mean trusting what we felt in our hearts, that intuitive feeling that no matter what the other doctors are saying, something just isn't right when they say, "we don't know what it is, but it isn't the implants."

Trust your instincts. Believe in God if He is whispering in your ear to trust Him through this. He will show Himself in tender ways.

What state are you located in? There are seeral docs in my area that are

believers - I am near Tampa. One has actually wrote a book - his name is Dr.

Vasey. That is about the closest you are gonna get to a doctor that

knows, tells, and believes the truth. Let me tell you about my first visit w/

him back in early January: I was explanted last April - (7 years textured

salines). I got the explant after seeinga pain mgt specialist about my chronic

neck and head pain. He is the one who mentioned that there ay be a link to my

implants causing the fibromyalgia - I had no clue up until then. found our

group and read all the stories which were very similar to mine so I freaked and

had them removed a few months later. Dr Vasey came highly recommended by my

pain doc for the fibromyalgia so I made an appt - took 8 months to get in as he

is so busy. When I went in in January I had never met him nor had he seen any

of my medical records as they were with me. Before I showed him my files he

looked at my arms and felt my neck and shoulder area and said that I must have

implants - then told him that I did but had them removed already. He then

proceeded to start telling me a series of events that must have happened that

led me to explant - still had never seen my records. He was right on the money

- kind of freaked me out. I started w/ a lot of headaches shortly after an

implant replacement in 99 due to a rupture. Shortly after this started w/ neck

pain all the problems- I won't bore you with them as they are posted in the

files section under " shari's story " . He listed the series of problems htat i

had and the order of events almost perfectly - before I said a word about them.

You see - there is proof - there are doctors out there. He has seen so many

women like us he knew what was wrong with me before I said a word. We are all

alike with varying intensity but most have had all of the same symptoms at one

time or another. there is no better proof than that. I hope this helps - as I

have posted in the past - he wrote a letter to my primary telling of the

problems I was facing due to the implants so they would believe me. I think

some of the other girls have requested a copy of this letter so they could see

it in writing too, but I tried to scan it and somehow screwed it up. I will try

again of maybe I can fax or mail a copy if it will help w/ anyone wanting to see

proof that a doctor is on our side. Just let me know if I can help w/

anything!!
