Implants to Dr. Blais Ann & others...

Ann, when I had my surgery in December, my PS gave the implants to my

dad and he mailed them via FedEx to Dr. Blais. If you're worried

about the " custody " of the implants after explant, you could have the

doctor put them in a sterile container and ask him to put them into a

crush-proof box that you get from FedEx. That way, he's the last one

to touch them. The box is then sealed by him or his staff and

whoever is with you can have FedEx pick them up right there from the

doctor's office. I think that's the best way for everyone to do it.

I wish I had thought of that before mine were done. Not that I think

there will be an issue with mine. It's just that this way it seems

like there's no way they could ever say they were tampered with.
