Guest guest
Ken, you are VERY welcome, I help when and where I can Just wait, that 5cc can settle in and give you more restriction the next week or so. It's funny how it does that. Great job on the 50 pounds so far! @...: kengresleyjones@...: Sun, 23 Nov 2008 23:44:00 +0000Subject: Re: My First Adjustment Thanks , Yes I got 7cc but they backed it off to 5 cc and seems to be ok, I actually wish it was more restrictive but I realize things have to go slow. In less then 2 months I am down just under 50 lbs.....I did well on the fasting. Thanks thought for your comments and everyone who has done this only wants it to work.........by god lets make sure it does!!! HARUMPH!!!!Ken>> > Ken! They gave you 7cc for a FIRST FILL???? What goobers! I have a VG and they gave me 6cc for my first fill and I was slammed shut immediately. My husband was given 4cc for his first and that was perfect. They backed out the extra 2cc in my band and it was perfect. When I questioned the 6cc I received versus the 4cc my husband received and I was told that they had just returned from a band conference where they standard was changed to 6cc hence the increase. Conference or not, I'm proof that everyone is very different when it comes to fill levels. I do know some people who have gotten 6cc as a first fill and did fine, but I still think it's too aggressive too soon. Trying to find it again to remove some was not so much fun. After a great deal of hunting, a longer needle and my trying to barf up the water she found it and I now have 5 cc.I was a little dissapointed as I wanted to be more restricted but also realize with a first adjustment I have to go slow....not that I am impatient or anything....Oh Nooooooooo heheheheEveryone I have encountered with this process has been absolutely wonderful, I am so impressed!!During the " healing stage " I still managed to drop 4 pounds so I am down almost 50 lbs since the beginning of October when I began my fast. Now stay away from wine!!! If you're losing, you're clearly eating enough less to los! :-) We are never trying to eat as little as possible. We need to meet the nutrition and calorie goals to lose safely and in a way that will not return. If you're losing , you also do not need a fill. we want as little fill as we can have to still get some help from the band. We NEVER want as much fill as we can possibly tolerate - the more fill, the more risk of problems, including the very serious ones. Please ask if any of this does not make sense, or is different than you thought. Very important to understand all this, for the sake of band safety. sandy r >> > Ken!
