Guest guest
EDITED TO REMOVE MOST OF PREVIOUS MESSAGE. PLEASE LEAVE JUST PART OF THE MESSAGE YOU ARE RESPONDING TO. LUV - SHEILA ______________________________________________ There are lots of studies in this regard. The anti combination therapy studies are marked by 1. Selecting subjects who are primary hypothyroid or who have had thyroidectomies. 2. Replacing some amount of T4 with a low amount of T3 3. Ignoring any positive results because of statistically low occurance. What this proves is that low dose T3 in people who have deficient thyroid secretion tend not to need T3. What it does not say is that folks who have post-thyroid deficiencies in peripheral metabolism of T4 to T3 or the reception and use of T3 by our bodies' cells do not benefit from T3. Hence these studies do not cover the entire population of people who suffer from the symptoms of hypothyroidism. The dose for T3 at 15 mcg per day works for my wife. The maximum dose per US Food and Drug Administration approvals is 1.6 mcg per day per kilogram of body weight. That is about 3/4 mcg per day per pound of body weight. The usual dose is lower. The study below is the first that I have seen with T3 does that high. For the most studies the T3 does are insignificant or on the edge of insignificance. Have a great day, > > Just found this study on page 196 in here: > http://www.hotthyroidology.com/downloads/eta_abstractbook_2007.pdf > >

Guest guest
Hey, just saw this post from ages ago... I don't really understand what meant, could anyone please clarify? Does this study not show that combination treatment is superior? Thanks Jonny
