Guest guest
Billie-Jo, what type of stomach problem means you have a B-12 deficiency? I've had stomach problems for years. I've had peptic ulsers, gastritis, Reflux, you name it! And believe it or not it wasn't caused by my implants!! It was caused by taking 800mg Motrin for 2 weeks on an empty stomach. I hit a deer with my car and hurt my shoulder & neck. The doctor put me on Motrin and either he didn't explain it to me or I didn't read the directions, but I took it whether I had food in my stomach or not. This was in 1990 and I think Motrin was just starting to be widely used - or maybe not - I might just have been too young and hadn't ever heard of it before. I ended up going to several doctors before finally figuring out it was the Motrin that did it. I was taking tons of Mylanta every day. I had diarrhea so bad that every time I went to the bathroom to pee I had diarrhea! I lost so much weight - I went down to right around 105 pounds from my normal 125 (well, that was normal then - not now unfortunately!). Size 3's were too big for me. The doctors couldn't figure out the ulcer problem nor could they figure out why I was having such severe diarrhea. I told them how much Mylanta I was taking and they never put the two together...DUH!!! Mylanta has the same ingredient that Milk of Magnesia has - and you take M.O.M. for constipation! I swear, we have to diagnose and treat ourselves sometimes, don't we? When I slowed down on the Mylanta and started taking Prilosec, the diarrhea magically went away. You can buy it at walmart for about 6 dollars. > I saw an infomercial about it and thought, hey its worth a try, and I love it, it really works!! > They say if you have a stomach problem you may have a B-12 definciency. > You can look up B-12 online and read about it. > Anyway I would swear by it, I have felt so much better since I started taking it. > Let me know if this helps anyone. > Hugs, Billie-Jo
