I had an interesting moment at my PS ofice today. I had an

appointment pre op for removal of saline implants. Well I have a

terrible rash on both breast and both are VERY itchy. I scratch so

much that my skin is broken, I told my doc that I think I must have

some fungus growing in there and that I am terribly itchy. Whitout

even BLINKING he nodded his head and said, " Well, hopefully the

surguery will take care of that problem. " Now don't get me wrong, he

did not admit that I might have fungus, but he certainly did not deny

it and was not at all suprised by my comments. After reading up on

women who are sick with implants, I was expecting him to laugh at me

or blow me off or something. Are any other doctors out there

admitting that this is going on?

As I mentioned on an earlier post, his staff admitted to me that they

have been removing many more implants than usual without replacement

in the last year. Maybe all of your advice is getting out somehow...

Welcome to Cleveland and to our group.

Dr. Radis is wonderful with children on the spectrum and has a nephew with PDD.

He is in Aurora.

I highly recommend him.

He was incredible w/ our son.

Good luck,

This is a dentist? I've also been looking for a dentist for my son, but have not known how to go about finding one.

Yes Kim she is a dentist. She is in a practice with two other

dentists. I have only seen her so I do not know much about the other

ones. Though I have heard great things about them also. We just stick

with Dr. Crowell because she has been great with . Very

patient, kind and very sensitive to his needs. She tries to make the

visits as comfortable as possiable.

We were referred to Dr. Radis in Aurora by our local MRDD school. He is WONDERFUL with my 8 yr old autistic son who is terrified of the dentist, he hates the noise, lights. Dr. Radis has him put on sunglasses since the lights are so bright and he is the most patient, soft spoken, gentlest man...very compassionate...I would not take my son to anyone else! We have always had a beautiful experience with this dentist and his staff. The office number is 330-562-2700. Good luck! Take care, TinaKim <kcarr@...> wrote: This is a dentist? Thanks so much for the info! We've been asking everyone - including the doctor, teachers, etc. if they could recommend someone, and noone could. So at least now I know of a good dentist for our son. I know he will NOT be an easy patient, so that was a concern of mine no matter where we take him.

Thank you for this info too, Tina! I'll have to check with our insurance to see if any of these are covered. We are in Ravenna, but Aurora is only about 15 - 20 minute drive. My hubby works there.

Hi Kim! We live in Ravenna too! Welcome! I don't come across to many people from our area! Aurora is not a bad drive, of course leave time for possible construction on the roads, which happens just about everywhere now a days! Take care! If you ever want to talk, you can email me at tinacarey1@.... Have a beautiful day! TinaKim <kcarr@...> wrote: Thank you for this info too,

There is a dentist on Center Ridge Rd in Rocky River you could call. Her name is (I cant spell it right, so this is how it sounds) Dr.Jar-va-sek. If you get off Hillard (from 90) go to the second light, go left. Go to Center Ridge, go right she will be on the right hand side. Lil closer than Aurora. She was great with my son !!!!! Sandi I just moved to Ohio, specifically Twinsburg. I need someone to reccommend a dentist and a doctor for my 5 year old son who is autistic. I am

looking for doctors who are good/have expierence with kids like him in and around the area. Thanks Check out the hottest 2008 models today at Autos.

We had been going to Dr. Gerstenmaier (sp?) in Fairlawn but they would not allow us to go back with him, it broke our heart to hear him cry! They were very abrupt and just got the job done so we of course quit going there and that goodness were referred to Dr. Radis. He has a female dentist in with him in his practice but I like Dr. Radis MUCH better! I always go back with and hold his hand and talk to him during his visits. cries and makes LOTS of noise but Dr. Radis just keeps talking to him very slowly, very soothing, like I said, he is the most gentlest man I have ever met! We need earplugs is so loud but we get through it! Dr. Radis understands that the noise of the drill, etc. scares them, is confusing to them and is just awesome! I just explain to the best I can that we have to go to keep his teeth healthy, no boo-boos and we have him shake Dr. Radis's hand afterwards and tell what a great job he did,

I don't want him to have cavities, toothaches, etc. so we have to go for checkups and the more we go the easier it gets. We also go to Dr. Leonard for his Pediatrician, he has an office in Ravenna but we go to the Streetsboro office, again, Dr. Leonard has ALWAYS been very patient, soft spoken and understanding of , again, will shake his hand! Their office number is 330-626-4080. We have been going to him for years and also love their office staff, never had a problem. Hope this info helps! It is a real comfort hearing from other parents that they have had good experiences with docs, dentists and the office staff if you have a disabled child, makes our lifes a little bit easier than to have to go to one that is not compassionate or understanding of our childs disability. My girls use to go to Dr. Leonard when he was in with Dr. (who was Tommy's doctor). But when he moved out of there into Streetsboro, we choose to have the girls see Dr. Kemerer and I love her. Now Dr. has moved to Aurora - with no notice to her patients, at least not to us. I had no idea she left this office until Tommy had strep and I had to make an appointment. I am going to just switch him to Dr. Kemerer too as I really like her and she's right down the road from us.

Is Dr. Radis also know as Dr. ? My nephew went to a Dentist in Aurora who's first name is and my sister said that kids call him Dr. . I just wondered if it's the same one as my sister loved him with my nephew (he's not special needs or anything though).
