Hi guys, I am new here, but feel so much better just finding this group and

reading all the information. About 2 years ago I had an ultrsound and was told

I had a stone about an inch in diameter and needed surgery. I have avoided the

surgery by just cutting way down on fats and rich foods, drinking lots of apple

juice and eating lots of apples. But like ne, I am afraid of trying to

expel it before trying to break it down. So I will be very interested in Dave's

reply to ne re Beta TCP.

Thanks for letting me join your group.

A stone one inch in diameter is large. I would not like to try and send that

through my bile duct! With a stone that size dissolution is a great idea.

Check the archives for all the things you can do. Remember those great big

jawbreakers we use to buy as kids? Remember what would happen if you got

impatient and tried to crunch it? Remember how long they took to dissolve?

Well, this is a gallbreaker and needs to be patiently saviored (sic). If

dissolving happens from the outside in, there will be a point when it will be

small enough to enter the duct but to large to pass through. Patience,

patience, patience. You will probably want to work on dissolution for a long

time before attempting a flush. You can do it. Always, in all ways, -Dave
